I've really not bothered with concert videos since the early 80's (LSTNT was the last one I actually bought). If they're on one of the channels I'll maybe watch but can tend to be a bit 'same-old, same old'. Did quite enjoy the prep to the Cuba outing however.

Dean Ford, lead singer of the Scottish group Marmalade, has died at the age of 72. The band, from Glasgow, were best known for reaching number one in 1969 with their cover version of The Beatles "Ob-la-di Ob-la-da". They had another 10 singles, including "Reflections of My Life" and "Rainbow", both of which Ford wrote. On Facebook his daughter called him "an

Paul McCartney was absolutely blistering in Glasgow last night. One of the best performances I've ever saw from anyone and I wouldn't even describe myself as a huge fan. Really just went to strike him from my bucket-list but so, so glad I got a ticket.

Flat Baroque and Berserk - Roy Harper. CSN - Crosby, Stills & Nash. Tilt - Scott Walker. Truth - Jeff Beck Group. Re-KeithNacho's post; I would argue Pink Floyd's Animals is considered a great album but again, wholly subjective.

Quotematxil QuoteHonkyTonkJan QuoteKet QuoteDandelionPowderman I never got anything by Nick Cave. Yes, I have tried... Exactly the same for me, I have tried as well and for the life of me just do not get him at all. Maybe the "penny will drop" sometime? Have you listened to "Into My Arms". That's a fantastic song imo.... I was going to say: did you guys try the a

QuoteCristiano Radtke Funny thing is that most of the albums and artists mentioned here I love very much. It only shows how subjective things can be when we're talking about music (and the same applies to movies, for example). Same here. It is subjective and a matter of taste. I tend to focus more on albums that should (imo) be 'great' but hardly anyone's heard of th

QuoteRollingFreak QuoteJah Paul That's quite the list! QuoteRollingFreak 4. PS I Love You (NEVER PLAYED) I think he did this one as part of a medley with "Love Me Do" on the Flowers In The Dirt tour (might have been a one-off)...very different '80s-style arrangement, if I recall. He did but its a little too different to truly qualify as playing that song. Especially now

Too many to mention, initially when leaving the last show I always think that was the best but the three that stick in my mind are: Glasgow Apollo May 1982-My first Stones gig, a warm-up for the British leg of the Euro tour but what a night. Glasgow SECC September 2003- Exquisite version of CYHMK and an outing for Mannish Boy. Amsterdam Arena, September 2017- Fantastic performance, stag

QuoteRollingFreak The Stones aren't doing anything. We need to talk about something. Bingo! It's symptomatic of when The Stones aren't touring, releasing a new album etc and there's not much happening that the quality of the threads start to take a downward turn and we get posts about Charlie's sister, Keith's shirts, re-imagined track listings and the Moon lan
