Quotegotdablouse So apparently he tours just as a trio now, no more lead guitarist ? I really don't know his stuff but considering catching him in Paris on Thursday. Will try to find some recent videos. He has a new lead guitarist, who also has a voice like Janis Joplin- It's Carolyn Wonderland. I'm looking forward to Ronnie Scotts

QuoteHappy24 QuoteLien Ronnie is brilliant to work with. He makes a song sound like a record after just one take. I bumped into Ronnie and his wife Sally who I’ve known for years in Prague recently and we talked about putting together a tribute to Chuck Berry. “Ronnie said he was a lifelong fan and that he knew every single Chuck Berry song so he was keen to get involved and it went from there

Quoteslewan Quote1962 + SPECIAL GUESTS would be great to have the whole Rolling Stones and Bill Wyman as special guests (the day before the Twickenham gig) on "Watching The Rovier Flow" my first impression when I was at the Ealing club to see Chris Jagger was that this club is a nightmare for security (no backstage area, no nothing – to get on the 'stage' (which isn'

QuoteTopi Game day! Last show of this amazing 10-day trip. Tripled my Lucky Dip chances (last minute). Going to pick up the tickets (my own pair) at about 2pm. Pre-show meal somewhere around Westfield. Might try the Brazilian joint next to The Cow. Have a great show, folks! Good plan. We did that on Tuesday. Great food and Amazon beer!

Quotegrzegorz67 Quotemarclaff I have the same question. Did not receive a second email from axs for a e-ticket. I don't think you get one for LDs. That was just a generic message intended for buyers of regular priced e-tickets and sending it out to Dippers too was probably a mistake. I plan to turn up at the LD desk tomorrow with my ID, Payment Card and Email and hopefully the job's

Quoterev20 In my opinion, the Stones have a fantastic ensemble sound and still produce powerful shows. Keith contributes as much or more to that great ensemble sound as any of the other musicians. If somebody doesn't think he is being fancy enough in his playing for their particular taste, okay, so don't go. But don't try to drain the excitement out of this thread. Go to,

QuoteMonsoon Ragoon He says he doesn't look back to the Golden Age songs. On the other hand, nearly all songs they play today are released before 1981. What a nonsense. Barry Egan seemed to miss a great opportunity to talk about the new album. It's almost like Mick wanted to talk about writing new numbers and Barry just wanted to go over the past again, so Mick's going to head off

Quoteshattered1978 Quotelaertisflash Tour after tour, year by year, more people gain an understanding of the "modern" selling tactics. Which means that more people are waiting for lower prices, until they see some of them. But the current "policy" is still profitable for both, band and promoters. (Whether we must call it fair policy, that's a different issue...). Because

QuoteIrix Quotesyrel Can you tell me where you are getting those numbers from please? For instance: , Wikipedia . I would be amazed if they are making around 1M dollars per show each after rehearsing and trucking the equipment around. Also the tax is not mentioned on these post - I look at my Twickenham invoice and see VAT on the ticket. That's 20% for the UK govenment.

Quotemr_c_ox I can't see it happening. the grateful dead only came to Europe twice as far as I know. Bob Wier is the only member of the dead to have come over since Jerry Garcia died. I could see a promoter putting them on in a big venue over here, especially given that John Mayer headlines arenas over here on his own. Phil Lesh was at the Brooklyn Bowl near the O2 on 30 July 2014. Great gig

Quote35love Keith’s enchantment has always been his miraculous timing. ‘Timing directly from God’ I’ve said before and I witnessed it Sunday He knows what he’s doing He knows when he can stop, wait for Mick, the pause, have a smile when to suddenly put the riffs in when to lean over, focus in, and deliver I had a surreal moment as he was in front of me focusing, fused with the song Her

My advice is go and see them instead of reviewing comments. They were amazing in Paris last night and equally great but different in Amsterdam 3 weeks ago. Anything could happen but they are loving it. There is no substitute for a live performance for any fan.
