QuoteSend It To me I think Was is full of it when he says that there is loads of wonderful unreleased stuff. I think anything of any value is probably readily available on youtube, from bootlegs, leaks, and b-sides. They took all the gold from the mine when they produced Tattoo You. What about Plundered my Soul?

QuoteNeddieFlanders >I always thought it was Keith playing bass. I was wrong. Me too. Until I heard that Keith-interview in the In The Studio-series (subject: Beggars Banquet) where he states that the track was already finished when he entered the studio and all he could do was adding his guitar. N It wasn't finished, because he played the acoutisc guitar, with Nicky, Bill an

What impresses me in that list is that the covers are not as old as I think... most of it, originally released between 1957-1962, so, the Stones play "almost new" stuff.

I play classical music, and music reading is important when the music you want to play is written, but if you are in rock and roll, blues, reading music will be useful but not the most important thing,

Quotefate268 Pete and Roger will be on the money and do very well. That is assured.I dont care how old they are. They are still terrific live. Thats their greatest asset. They are "still" terrific live? So sad to lost John Entwistle. Bass playing is no longer the same without him.

The Stone have lots of piano players, but no one can reach Nicky. Billy Preston's fine, but his "unique sound" didn't fit with Charlie, Keith or Bill. Stu was also fine, but he "never plays minor chords", which is such a definition of piano playing. Ian McLagan is fine, but he never comes on top of the whole thing. Chuck Leavell sure is a fine guy, but he is a produc

The U2's, the Led Zeps, etc. are a notch (or two) below and that is just the way it is. Bringing the living members (maybe throw in a son or two) from the Stones an

I don't think the Stones did a bad show at all, and The Who's performance wasn't so impressive. They sounded 50% less than Live at Leeds. Maybe No expectations, it's not in the same key than Beggar's Banquet, but Sympathy, Jumping sounds quite good to my ears.
