Plastic Ono Band is a bit of a masterpiece - what a great work. Nothing any solo Stone ever did comes close in my stupid opinion.

I love The Who and The Stones (and even that "mop top" group too). This is a bunch of nonsense. Roger loves to say controversial things - in the 70s he aimed barbed at Pete himself. Pete is no stranger to controversial statements either. It is kind of weird though, I'd like to see more civility between these elders of rock - we were blessed to have all three bands "inva

I was hoping they would add to the recent "From The Vault" and found it a bummer that they didn't.

Pretty cool - I don't know what the heck it is about the original video, but it will pretty much always be my favorite. It might just be the sentimental memories of watching it on MTV back in '81-'82, but Jagger is just hilarious and Charlie's reactions etc.. They really need a compilation of videos released on DVD/Blu!

Quotejohnypar where would it be possible to find the lyrics for disc2? The lyrics for "Shame, Shame, Shame" go something like this: It's a shame, shame, shame, that we mastered this so loud"

QuoteChrisM42 Part One: Tattoo You "40th Anniversary" edition bonus CD is very interesting and entertaining: Living in the Heart of Love - First surfaced around 1981 on the LP titled "Lonely at the Top" with the title "Living is a Harder World' and later "Living is a Harder Love'. The LP was a fantastic outtake compilation and one of the 'must h

QuoteHairball Quotegotdablouse Maybe scrape everything that's left together and release a massive Beatles Anthology type release - demos, outtakes, live material, etc There was even the resurrected/reworked Lennon solo demos Free as Bird and Real Love which weren't that great, but they're similar in technique to what Mick has been doing...reworking/updating old material in an

QuoteNICOS I go or After Math super the Luxe....there must be some rehearsals or demo's or first to ten cut's from that time The 60s albums were not an option as it seems like if they couldn't bury the hatchet for BB and LIB 50th anniversaries, they likely never will.

I think this release is awesome, the early comments got me very worried, but put the outtakes CD into my player now and tried to get all of those critical comments out of my head. To me it's a very enjoyable bonus disc - so much better than the ones included with GHS and SF and maybe even even Some Girls. Mick's new vocals on this disc are not so jarring and I think I will be playing

QuoteStoneage Yea, what's the point buying the super deluxe album when you can listen to it for free on Spotify? Saves you both money and space... This is getting to be a serious question - I kind of tell myself "the fidelity of CD" compared to streaming but these brickwalled releases are making it hard to argue that LOL. The books are not usually all that exciting. I have to s

I'm just really enjoying this set today - I hope the Stones continue to release tracks from this officially so everyone gets to hear them and maybe we will get the definitive history of them.

An announcement this early in the tour of streaming or PPV would certainly hurt sales of tickets still available, but seems like a show near the end of the tour would be a great idea!

It's easy to say money but it can hardly be that big a deal at this point - they must have enough for themselves and future generations. Good genes, good luck, ability to change with the times, a loyal following and love of performing has to be the top 5.

I'd like to know why we have to have re-releases at all. All I ever want is the outtakes - why don't they just do a boxed set of the outtakes like the Bob Dylan series?

I personally love the album but with "Voodoo Stew", "Voodoo Brew" and the easy to obtain B-sides, we mostly have everything we need - no? I'd rather they dip back to "It's Only Rock and Roll" and clear the decks of any outtakes from 71-74 that have not gone out yet.

I'd like them to "cover" themselves and play "Out of Time" LOL Other than that - they have really killed it with Otis Redding covers and they should choose another.
