My guess is that we will see more than one album. I think what has been going on can be compared to the Some Girls-sessions, just of course in another tempo.

QuoteBliss Mick can never write a song about the death of L'Wren because he was responsible for it - by not helping her with her serious depression, by not keeping her business from going under, and by hooking up with his latest girlfriend three weeks before L'Wren's suicide. The last thing he would want to do is relive all that. My God - what a statement, You were the fly on

Mick is a bunch of guys - some of then age gracefully at times. In "As tears go by" maybe a bit early, in "Fool to Cry" as a sensitive father, in great lyrical shape about dying in "It won't take long". Or does this graceful-thing mean that everything has to be a prior generations music old school jazz, the american songbook, Tom Waits-like etc. - tiresome s

QuoteDoxa Hmm... yeah. Can't much argue with her, although I love all the songs she mentions, since I have grown up with them, and never thought about them having anything 'wrong', at least much, with them. Trying to argue with her is doomed to fail - sooner or later. She talks in terms of today and, even more, of tomorrow. Even the idea of explaining like it was all done in a t

You don't have to feel guilty if you like it. You're not betraying Keith if you like it! You're not alone if you like it! Count me in! But isn't it cool that Mick's doi

What a surprice! A great single - and just we needed in this pandemic. Hard rocking, energetic, polemic - and fun.

QuoteRollingFreak QuoteStoneage Of course legalities do not matter here. Allen can't win this even he wins in court. In the eyes of the public he is doomed anyway. Which I'm sure Allen is painfully aware of. He's won for the last 30 years so I wouldn't be so sure of that. We knew almost all of this for 1/3 of a century. If people weren't paying attention, thats one thin

QuoteStoneage The accusations against Allen are most certainly true (not everyone of them though...). You don't need a documentary to realize that (I haven't watched it). The signs were already there in "Manhattan". In Allen's case it's even worse because there is an oedipal twist to it also. Of course Allen denies everything. What else can he do? Unnecessary to

I've got Desperate Man on replay since the these outtakes was leaked. I'm still so surprised that a track like that has remained for so long in the vaults. The falsetto at 1.57 gives one goosebumps. If we get a Tattoo You deluxe it would fit there I think.

QuoteDoxa Would this be just a sweatheart thread if we could just get one another Hairball post to tell us once again (a) Mick Jagger is one big scumbag whatever he does , and (b) The Rolling Stones is nothing but a disgrace and hasbeens compared to whatever their arguably big profilic contemporariers, like Dylan, Young, etc. are - of course, Sir Paul McCartney, in his book, is the one exception

I'm quite confident that we will have the new album this year. Suddenly in the spring or early summer, when the Covid-19 loosens the grib, we will hear som news about sessions with glorious inspiration. Five days of heavenly bliss. I think it is 95% finnished by now - I think what is missing is the final story telling about the album.

I'm quite sure that the new album will be released this year. Next year will the 60th anniversery year - and yet another extra big hit-compilation will see the light of day - with two exclusive hit-the-wall outtakes on the the super deuxe (and three on the japanese shm-edition).

That really is fantastic news! Only an announcement of a release day the new album this spring would be better. The restored videos on Goats Head Soup were astonishing.
