That would be very nice! I agree that DAC sound is often too loud.

After listening to Start Me Up on both releases (RS and DAC) I still prefer the DAC sound. Less aggressive I'd say. Plus DAC comp is not from lossy sources. Definitely recommend All Inside Our Crazy Dreams.

Well it's not the first I find a Rattlesnake compilation made from lossy sources then. Last one was "Lost Legal Live Tracks" which is made for most of it from lossy sources.

I'm currently downloading Tattoo Too (Rattlesnake) from Hungercity in FLAC and files appear to be from lossy sources. Trader's Little Helper says so and the spectral frequency is typical of mp3 files. Did anyone else notice this already?

Well I haven't listened to this one but generally I tend to prefer Dog N Cat releases over Rattle Snake ones. Better and more natural sound imo.

The 4 "new licks" from 40 Licks were not that bad actually. I still enjoy listening to these songs. I like the rock sound they have too. Too bad they didn't released a full new album at this time. Really the missing link between Bridges To Babylon and A Bigger Bang...

This version is from 1978 (Some Girls sessions). It will be released only 3 years later though. Quite amazing as it's already in its final form... If you're interested in alternate takes from this period I recommend you "All Inside Our Crazy Dreams" (DAC-021)

This is quite good actually. At least Jagger looks and sounds natural on this one. Thanks for posting.

Sessions ran from August 1978 to December 1979 and they recorded something like 3 albums worth of material. Except for Summer Romance (which is an outtake from Some Girls sessions) all the songs on the album are from these sessions. A good part of tracks on Tattoo You comes from the Emotional Rescue sessions too - or were at least reworked from previous sessions during these sessions (Littl

The 40 Licks version is the same as 7" version. It was used on Jump Back too.

By the way two of the tracks from Wild Horses single are already available on Rarities compilation (Live With Me and Tumbling Dice). The 3rd one is on Saint Of Me single (Gimme Shelter)...

But the fact is the UM site says that these tracks are from UK, US and Europe. QuoteTaken from the original British, US and European singles.

I don't see the point in having mono versions on the Japanese set and stereo versions on the "rest of the world" sets. So my guess is all sets get the mono tracks. If live version of 2000 Light Years From Home is really included as it's shown on the japanese UM site, the only thing missing would be the Wild Horses single plus a couple of 12" remixes.

I don't think you'll regret it. Ther's a lot of nice stuff in it and package looks great. My only complaint is they forgot a dozen of tracks. They could have done a 50-single box set easely IMO...

QuoteMy 'dub' version is 6.22...early fadeout perhaps, or typo? I have 6.22, 6.26 and 6.29 versions. They are the same but the 6.29 version seems to run a bit slower. The good one is 6.22. Undercover Of The Night 12"
