Wow. I bought Voodoo Lounge, Stripped, and Bridges to Babylon on vinyl when they came out. Somewhat before vinyl became cool again, I guess. They all sound great and are all double LPs. I was hoping for a vinyl issue on the Stripped deluxe edition coming out, as I've got all the other Eagle Rock releases.

A friend of mine came across this (presumably) Russian EP. Does anyone have any information about this (date, whether it is a legit pressing or a bootleg, etc)? Paint it Black Ruby Tuesday As Tears Go By Lady Jane

Fingerprint File is fantastic. I never really cared for that song until now. The only complaints I could possibly have about the whole thing is the lack of audience presence and Mick's singing on most songs. But the whole thing is so insanely energetic it hardly matters. And I would also like to complain about Amazon pushing back the ship date on my Vinyl LA Friday show.

Just got it today, and I haven't had a chance to properly view it or listen yet (and I haven't seen much of it before), but first impression is that I'm pretty surprised at how coked up they are, even by Rolling Stones standards.

At least tickets will cost 20% less since they will most likely have to pick up a new drummer on the cheap. Grasping for a silver lining here.

Quote2120Wolf We should all respect BV's time, dedication and hard work to his site that he invites the world into. We all share the common bond of passion and love for the Rolling Stones, their Music and Fascinating Adventures. BV cut me out last week and let me back in today. He should be respected and we should all be thankful for this incredible forum of information and insight that he p

QuoteLimbostone There was a bit of footage (I think promotional, or from a newsnetwork, or maybe a complete bootleg) that showed, from below the stage, Mick preparing and being shot up. I must have seen it on youtube somewhere, but I can't find it anymore. I'll try again later tonight. Or has anyone got a clue? I think that was from the official VL video, Giants Stadium. I could be co

Agreed. All the piling-on was a shock, as I didn't see anything wrong with your comments. Edit: I agree with the original post. Not necessarily the post right before mine.

By "mixes", is it the same exact backing track with different instrumentation/overdubs, or is it related songs like Honky Tonk Women/Country Honk? If the former, that seems like it would be really hard to pull off. I would like the HTW/CH thing, although it's probably a stretch considering their studio work ethic these days. At this point I would be grateful for even one more new s

There was some talk about one of the Japan shows being filmed and/or broadcast. I had a hunch some of those rare tunes they did in rehearsals might be utilized. Not sure what happened there. Maybe Australia? Considering there is already an official live document from this "tour" (Hyde Park), maybe that is enough for them. Personally, I'd like to see some more of the bootleg series

QuoteRollingFreak QuoteSWAYZ He's been wearing them since the Bigger Bang tour so he doesnt have to listen to Keiths awful attempts at soloing! If only they'd give them to all of us. Sympathy is one of the few songs they really should retire as they just can't play it anywhere near passable. I'm usually a big supporter of Keith, but its one of the few songs he truly ruins thes

I can't wait to finally be able to plug in a proper 1/4" headphone jack into something so I CAN enjoy what this product is boasting! Oh, wait. Yeah... no. Good interview. Couple of things: Mick seems to have picked up an odd habit of referring to himself in the second person. "You never know.", for instance. That's a common saying. But half of his recollections are that way. It's like he's distancing himself from himself. These interviews for this leg of the tour (Keith, and now Mick) are very well done (in the fluid/

Billy Preston got two solo songs in the middle of the set with the Stones backing him. He was an American black man. He was never made a member of the band. Therefore Darryl Jones should get two songs in the middle of the set with the Stones backing him.

Is there an audience tape out there? Jagger sounds pretty wound (coked) up (Going to a Go-Go-"We're gonna @#$%& all night"). He first introduces Mick Taylor before Let Me Go (40:00 on the post above). I've heard stuff about how Taylor wasn't mike'd for the soundboard, etc, yet was too loud. but I don't know anything about that, so what's up? Why isn't

I did this about 10 years ago and had a wonderful time (I'm from Austin, TX). I think I got a separate UK and continental Europe pass. We combined that with cheap plane flights (only missed one connection--cost me 85Euro). Oh no. I keep seeing rumors about this and hoping they go away. Not to speak for others on IORR but I bet we might have as close to a consensus on this issue as we are going to get on anything. As for the broader fanbase, apparently Mick knows better than me. I think they need new marketing people.
