This is really sad news. I got a particular connection with John and for me, it is as sad as if Mick, Keith or Charlie had passed away. Musically speaking, I learnt to play the guitar on his lps, bought each and every of them, played every song and solo. Man, this is hard!!! Rest In Peace and thank you for your music, inspiration and example.

Thanks for the video. What amazes me here is the quality of Mick's voice! Really great. Charlie is perfect too! Keith's singing has been worse. So it's a great rendition of this song.

As many of you, I'm quite enthusiastic with the last Ronnie Wood album. According to me, his best solo work with real highlights. And the sound of the guitar is impressive! I know the lyrics are not very important but I am puzzled by the lyrics of Why’d You Wanna Do A Thing. Being a French, it's very difficult for me to understand them. So could anybody give me a link for the lyrics,

Pass The Wine is EXCELLENT!!! I love the groove and the horns. Amazing! I'm not signifying is very very good! The horns and mix are VERY different on Soul Survivor. GREAT MOMENT!! Title 5 could be the background music of Austin Powers! Mick Taylor is excellent on Good Time Woman. On the whole, I haven't been thrilled like this by a Stones record since ......"Some girls"!!

Quotehot stuff WELCOME TO THE BOARD....Sorry... Thank you for the info everybody. In fact, I have the cds from SF to SG in a collector's edition with the original album packaging, from "Virgin". I can't remember when Virgin issued this series. Probably before 2000, I guess. The look of the cds is really great, but I haven't found the sound really better than when the

I'm new on this forum, and I'm sure the subject of the 2009 remasters has been commented. But I can't find it anywhere. My question is simple: Do these new editions sound better than the previous ones? Thanks.

GREAT album!!! I think the sound of the album is pretty close to Exile. We have a lot of instruments, a muddy mix, which gives a lot of charm to it. I don't know if some of you have heard the bootleg "Dancing so free GHS Reheated", by Mickboy, but the result is just AWESOME!!! There's a great difference in sound with the original album, with a better definition of the bass
