Quotemattleeuk Quotestargroover Congratulations on winning that fan Finally the debate on what makes a “true fan” is settled Ha, yes, the potential for endless puns was definitely another selling point for this piece.

QuoteIrix Quotejoshbg2k Now I need to find a trove of photos from 75, and maybe 72-73, to try to place it on stage. Could be the one on the very left side: · Large picture Could be, nice find! The proportions are similar, but mine has vents on either side. Maybe it started its life without vents and they were added later...

Quotestargroover I am rather curious what are you actually going to do with fan? I’m not sure! But it seemed like a good deal for something used on stage, and much cheaper than an actual monitor or other PA. It takes one of those 3 prong plugs, the kind that plug into some TVs and computers. When I track one down I’ll power it up and see if it works.

I unboxed it this morning. If it’s meant to look like a monitor, I would think it should sit like this. Its center of gravity suggests this too. Now I need to find a trove of photos from 75, and maybe 72-73, to try to place it on stage.

QuotemattleeukI am on 18 lots so far... nothing very major but some nice little bits... the highlight so far definitely being the Pink Towel and the Toilet Seat cover both mislabeled as 1975 items but are actually 1972. Sometimes you have to keep quiet about the mistakes... 1972 Tour is always worth much more. The ticket stubs were generally quite price with juice. Hey Matt, it's an in

Quick note for anyone lucky enough to get the signed version. I’ve bought a couple of these types of things in the past, where they send the signed item separately. As an industry they are batting 0 as far as their ability to get it to me without damage, sometimes severe. That would be heartbreaking in this case. I sent a nice note to the store expressing my hope that they send the signed poster

Quotebleedingman Did you ever hear the saying "It's like shoveling sh*t against the tide"? Don't even bother. You're not going to change anyone's minds. I happen to agree with you. First it was "You don't need a mask". Then "You can go on a cruise." Then "Everyone should wear masks!" Then cruise ships ended up being marooned at se

Quotejbwelda yeah I was going to offer the same, and I live in the USA. So likewise, if you have a ticket to sell for face value and postage, I would be willing to take it off your hands if for the display value only though if the coast is clear when the show is rescheduled, I would be mightily tempted to make it over. thanks jb I’m in the US too! And can’t wait for an excuse to get back

I did not know about this show, but I trust that Ben will make things right. So much so that if you need a refund right now, sell them to me instead. Reply here and we'll figure out how to contact each other.

QuoteBungo My 2 cents is this : Assume all autographs without concrete provenance/certificate of authenticity to be fake. Assume at least half of all autographs with provenance/certificate of authenticity to be fake. Unless you're there when they sign it and you have a photo of them signing it even a great provenance/certificate of authenticity is just a piece of paper. In my min

Here is a Charlie signature from lot 115 of the Wyman auction, the September 1965 band signed letter requesting accounting services. Appears to be Signed CR Watts:

Quotedead.flowers The part Bill Wyman To Evelyn Keith Richards looks to me like all done in a flow by one and the same hand. d.f Could be correct on that. I’ll see if I can find an early example of Bill’s K in the auction catalog.

I think that’s Charlie above Mick. It would be early in the evolution of his signature.

Quoteswimtothemoon So these are from a scrapbook or large autograph book? I see one of the pages, you are showing, has the Hollies - with a very young Graham Nash. Presumably, yes. I bought only these pages with no context about where they were from.

Quoteswimtothemoon The set of autographs in question seem to be on the back of something. Knowing what is on the opposite side might help authenticate the set of autographs. I can do that! The first one is the back of Wyman/Jones/Richards, and the second is the back of Jagger/Watts:

QuoteDGA35 I like how it says Ian Stuart and Charles Watts. Also, if I recall correctly, the band used to have people within the organization sign things on their behalf, like fans writing in asking for autograph pics etc. Yes, for sure. It looks like the signatures came from an autograph book. There are cut out pictures of the Hollies on the flip side of the Brian/Keith/Bill page. Ian may hav

I've looked at that one. The Brian signature on that back of that album is pretty different than the signed receipts from the auction. This example below is closer to mine than the band signed EP from the auction:

Quotedead.flowers It is said that in the early years at times or temporarily Keith used the surname "Richard", without "s" at the end. d.f EDIT: Which surname respectively which signature did he use in May or October 1963? I have wondered about this too. Since the Richard surname was assigned to him by Oldham rather than given at birth, I can imagine that Keith was sl

Hi all, I've had these autographs stored at a family member's house for several years, and I wasn't even sure they were still there, but I have found them, and after the Wyman auction I've renewed my interest in determining their authenticity. I bought these at auction in the early 90s, and they always looked good to me. After they Wyman auction and seeing some early sig

Quotestargroover Ship with Juliens or another shipping company was what I was meaning.Just wondered if anyone else was in the same position. Thanks in advance I would recommend getting a quote from Julien's shipping partner before doing anything. After spending the effort to find someone else to pack and ship and figuring in their cost, you might find Julien's shipping partner to be mo

I really wanted one of the Brian Jones signed items, especially the check from the Indian restaurant - so Brian! But they went a lot higher than I was prepared to pay for such an item. I hadn’t planned on buying anything but was watching when the fan (masked as a stage monitor) came up. I thought it was a bargain for something that probably traveled for at least an entire tour and was probably

I have bought items from Juliens in the past, including Ronnie’s lyrics for Take a Look at the Guy. Shipping takes a couple weeks, and it comes from some art packing partner, so you can expect it to cost a bit more than you think it should. I didn’t consider the shipping prices obscene though.

QuoteTravelinMan The stories suck, if true. I can’t imagine he would be unrehearsed on purpose, maybe he didn’t have enough time. Hell, the others have been rehearsing on stage the last 40 years! Anyway, the Taylor with the Dead stuff from the late 80’s is awesome. Vids are up on YouTube. His guitar looks like the one Knopfler used back then. He was certainly well rehearsed for his Iridium r

Quotegeorgemcdonnell314 No one knows this. The airlines may not be able to get flights in which means planes are not there to get out. Most airlines move all their extra planes out of airports in case things get bad. Also, there is going to be a huge demand to get out of the Miami area if the store is predicted to come even close. Perhaps a better way to phrase it is - are those who hav
