Oh and congratulations bv. You are very officially a mainstream, quoted, reliable, trusted source with your fantastic site. I could have told them that in '97 when I first stumbled across it. Thanks for running it.

QuoteLimbostone They have (had) very much of an inside leak in Paris, with those pictures. I wonder if he or she has been uncoverd. Can you imagine Mick sitting down demanding every techs and every cleaning lady's phone to check if the pics are still on there? I suppose the audio is not from the same source as the pics since the quality of that is a bit like eardropping from the outs

Quotebleedingman Bill usually manages to duplicate/enhance Keith's studio-recorded bass live but I've often wondered what songs like "Sympathy" and "Flash" would have sounded like had Bill been "permitted" to lay down his own lines. I'm sure not being allowed to contribute to many of the band's signature tunes must have stung. He looks miserable i

As I recall, it was reported at the time that Elton left the funeral early to start work on getting the single released. Great friend to the Princess. Then it went on to be the number one selling single of all time. It looked quite greedy. Keith's comments, when taken in context, were in response to Elton's disrespect and greed in this situation, and the fact that he couldn't e

Steve Jordan talked about liking this version better than the record, which is why Keith did it with The Winos in 93. Definitely Keith.

This dude is on Jagger's payroll or something. Kissing his a$$ shamelessly. I found it comical reading this again after browsing throught the track talk on 'Time is On Our Side' or whatever website earlier tonight about 'Wild Horses', seeing Jagger and Richards both quoted about Keith writing the melody and chorus and Mick the verse lyrics, over a span of thirty some ye

QuoteNaturalust QuoteMunichhilton QuoteTitle5Take1 Bobby on CAN'T YOU HEAR ME KNOCKING: "I got the vibe that there wasn’t going to be any horns on that song, so I was just sitting there, listening. When the song ended, Rocky and Mick Taylor kept on playing—I knew they were jamming, so I grabbed my horn and jumped in. It was completely off the cuff, man: It was written as it was being pl

Quotedcba Imho these pix are a bigger offense to the band's name than Mick's knighthood... I'm confused...Dude's got money cause he was/is really talented and a smart business man. Are you offended cause you don't have a nice beach house?

Quotetreaclefingers QuoteWeLoveToPlayTheBlues Quotemickschix Yes, those extended warhorses are a bit too much! Even SFTD is WAY too long now! IF they do tour, I hope they at least play the unreleased EXILE tracks, like Plundered My Soul... Uhhhh, Plundered My Soul is not unreleased. In my house it is unreleased, as I haven't opened the seal on the vinyl yet. The unreleased tracks are n

I think the story in the new Rolling Stone magazine tells the same thing, and, honestly, I think Mick wants it too, and I think it will happen. The shroud of secrecy around this band is ridiculously impossible to penetrate. Don't know how they do it. The article says they might just do one show. Then it says maybe residencies. Then it goes on about how a major tour could crush their $55

Great news. Might not be the date, but it makes a tour sound more concrete. Months before the Bridges to Babylon tour was announced, there was a date on ticketmaster's website for "Mick and Keith", then it disappeared.

Quotemjmjr Quoteflilflam I heard Jack White at a Stones concert once, and he and his wife/sister (whoever she is) were terrible. I got up and wandered the lobby to get away from all the noise. Jack may be a nice guy, but what I heard that night, several years ago, was pure crap. Columbus (lick tour) they were terrible.....one of the worst opening acts ever Disagree. That was the first time I

Quotetreaclefingers Quotenonfilter Definitely would have to be "act like a goat" from "I Go Wild". I was embarrassed when I first heard it in 94 and my face is getting red right now having to type it. Yes...I believe that makes an excellent case for the use of 'filters'. Good call!

I can't base an opinion on this performance. Was the amp facing away from them/too far away to hear it? I don't know. Just saying, watch Chuck Berry play Johnny B. Goode on that same guitar. It's a lot worse than Keith to say the least. He goes into the wrong key playing the rhythm and never comes remotely back to the right key. I don't think Chuck Berry is unable to pla

I loved "Time Out of Mind", but I don't think that sound would get a little tired on an entire Stones album. Maybe if they still put one out every 18 months, I'd like the idea. But one album every eight years doesn't need to sound mystical and murky.
