Never cared for it myself or the King King scene. Much prefer Blue and Lonesome.

The 2018 U.K. tour is not taking up “most of the year”. The Stones (both of them) have every plan and intention of releasing a new album sometime next year.

I expect them to return to the studio. The tour’s good vibes have been a plus.

“Met her through mutual friend Brett Ratner.” That doesn’t reflect well on either of them. Yuck.

QuoteBowieStone QuoteRipThisBone England Lost has got great lyrics, but shite music. Shame Mick did not wait till Keith was ready for this one as a STONES song. A missed opportunity (regarding the NEW STONES 2018 album), But who cares? Mick's got plenty of lyrics at the back of his hand. This one for instance: Shame Mick? Keith didn’t want to play on these songs, I’ve heard.

Quoteretired_dog Quotemitch QuoteTeddyB1018 That’s one of the eight I have. You can put the seven others in the trash then. ...and you will loose TSP's "Get Satisfaction If You Want!" with BBC tracks dubbed from actual BBC masters instead of the usual FM recordings then. Not a good idea! Thanks, RD. I have that one as well!

Quotemitch QuoteTeddyB1018 I’ve got like eight versions of the BBC recordings. Now i’ll have nine. You need only one boot: "Beat Beat Beat at The Beeb" and the forthcoming official release. That’s one of the eight I have.

Come On sounds good on YouTube. I still think the “holy grail” for this sort of thing would be the improved L’Olympia live recordings, especially the 1967.

It’s a legacy release. It didn’t cost much and it won’t sell much. It’s for history. Thanks for jumping in for me, Rocky. I didn’t have a link. I guess the Amazon links came up soon enough though.

1CD and 2CD versions, and 2LP set being released December 1 by Universal. Looks like they just waited for Fonda. No word on DVD yet but it’s coming too.

The CD & Digital Audio mix as the same as before. Very compressed and lots of reverb. Does it sound good? Yes. Could it have sounded better. Yes.

There's at least three great tracks on Lulu, maybe half the album, and I can't stand Metallica. No one can say Lou didn't try things.

Quotestone4ever QuoteTeddyB1018 Good thing Sinatra didn’t have a message board like this in his later days. Sinatra was completely shit towards the end and still charged exorbitant money just like another act that comes to mind. Don't get me wrong , i loved Frank but he couldn't sing in the end and i cringed watching him. I don't want to cringe at my beloved Stones. Well, yea

The Stones wrote songs to perform. They're not looking for publishing covers. Nd yet, they have had lots of their songs covered, with great success.

Gigs are not designed or performed to be most effective on a video with compressed sound. Even in the cases of the best days of the Stones, they overdubbed their live albums. This is in part because what makes an album sound good is different than a live gig. None of this is to “defend” anyone’s playing. But it is to say that they are not up ther considering “how will this look and sound on someo

Quotegotdablouse The "methodology" had indeed not worked very well for UC or DW...endless sessions, endless arguing ! I would suggest that those records are more Stones-like than what’s transpired since. It’s like Mick is arguing for efficiency. I do agree that for solo material they should experiment and do things differently. That’s the whole point of solo albums really.

That quote basically says that the methodology that the Stones used to create all their best work was wrong, and Mick would prefer to dictate to minions, “This is what you do, Bing Bing Bing.” Why doesn’t he just confess on the witness stand?

QuoteHairball After the guitar driven Presence album, I was anxiously awaiting for In Through the Outdoor, but ultimately was in for a big letdown. Aside from In the Evening, I'm Gonna Crawl, and to a lesser extent Fool in the Rain (when it's played on the radio), I don't listen to any of it any more. The synthesizer of Carouselambra sounds truly dated to my ears, and reminds me
