I think Patti’s illness had an awful lot to do with the post-2007 hiatus. It is probably also true though that not having to work together hurt Keith and Mick’s relationship further. Keith was on eggshells during 2011 and 2012 over whether Mick would come back to work with the group. He didn’t even throw a big fuss after the thing where Mick Taylor did the overdubs without Keith’s knowledge.

It’s such a good track. I think if Mick had dropped the falsetto like he did with Beast of Burden it would be a near classic. Strange album, I suppose because of the disconnect between MJ and KR.
