For me, Cave has never released a definitive studio album, either with the Birthday Party or the Bad Seeds. I know that comes across as being a bit music snobby, but they've never managed to capture the raw, exfoliating intensity of the live shows in the studio. Of course almost all of Cave's albums are brilliant, but the live shows are on a different level entirely. I'd suggest

I thought Cave made everyone else at Glastonbury - yes everybody - look flaccid, pointless and boring. His performance was like a bucket of acid to the face. Truly exfoliating. Full set: Forward to about 40 minutes if you want to see "audience participation" at its most intimate.

That clip of Rambler is tremendous. Can't believe how good Jagger is, best he's sang for a long time and he just owns that stage. What I love about this tour is how seriously they're taking the music - no gimmicks, no frills, just a pure rock 'n roll show. Who would've thunk it? Thanks everyone for the uploads.
