Quote72stones Was also said that Charlie Watts and Bill Wyman were not needed for extra overdubs. So, it appears that Taylor was, indeed, involved in the bonus track sessions. Why would Don Was need to be speaking specifically in this manner concerning Taylor? I'd guess that maybe they're afraid Ronnie Wood would probably not take the news too well that the Stones were recording wi

after reading that article, got the impression that the overdubbed outtakes are going to stir up some controversy... Awesome article though! I'm really excited for the re-release. oh, one other thing that was interesting in the article is that there were talks of the band doing a concert to celebrate the re-release and play Exile live in it's entirety. Unfortunately, according t

The Rolling Stones’ classic Exile in Main Street — one of Rolling Stone’s highest-ranking Greatest Albums of All Time — is returning as a very special reissue. On May 18th, Universal Music Group is re-releasing the album with 10 never-before-heard tracks, including “Plundered My Soul,” “Dancing in the Light,” “Following the River” and “Pass the Wine,” that were produced by Jimmy Miller, the G

Just listened to Nothing But The Wheel by Peter Wolf that has Mick on it for the first time in a while. Love this song and the feel of it. Hope the next album if there is one, has some songs in this vain. Peter's doing his best Keith on this song and it makes me wish Keith and Mick would try to sing more harmonies together. Last time I can think of them singing together was on The Worst

Against my better judgement I'm gonna apologize in advance and post this... lol. Don't know if anybody posted this before, I searched and didn't see anything, but just found these Jay-Z vs. Stones cd's online. not all of it is good, but it's got it's moments and it's fun to hear somebody rapping over a Mick Taylor solo in Heartbreaker or Keith's intro

Hi Everybody, can't wait for the next Stones tour/album/re-issue/remaster/remix/outtake/overdub session... whatever it is, anything... I'll take it! anyways, Dylan played at the White House tonight and I didn't even think twice about it and pretty much figured it would be a let down. But I found a link to the version of The Times They Are A Changin' that he did and I tho

Hello fellow Stones fans, I've been coming to this website forever but this is my 1st post. Anyways, I'm a huge Ryan Adams fan too. His bandmate, bassist Chris Feinstein passed away yesterday. I've been reading some of the tributes his friends have been posting and it turns out Chris was a huge Rolling Stones fan. One of his friends posted this and I thought it was a cool lit
