Under Cover is a great LP. I've always loved it. Especially: Undercover of the night, Tie you up, Pretty beat up, Too tough and It must be hell. The rest are still okay and definitely I don't consider them poor. Forum: Tell Me
Wow. Sounds amazing boxset. Grateful Dead is a great band and they were marvelous on stage. Lots of great soundboard bootlegs also available. Forum: Tell Me
Well, like in many other forums there is usually a section for other issues to be discussed, in this case non-Stones related issues. And because of the nature of that section the perfect name would be "In Another Land" Forum: Tell Me
"Keith: „The same procedure as last tour, Mick?“ - „The same procedure as every tour, Keef“"
That was hilarious.
And that show is shown also in Finnish TV every New Year's Eve. Marvelous and funny. Forum: Tell Me
Not every song needs a solo. I've always liked Deep Purple's Perfect Strangers and one of the reasons is that it doesn't have a solo. It just doesn't need one. And then there are songs that would be pretty boring without a solo, like Sway. Mick T's solos are perfect in it. Without them it'd be just another "nice tune". Forum: Tell Me
This is kinda familiar from the eighties so I'm not really that worried. And if they decide to call it a day then that's their decision. Since 1981 the press has thought that the tour ongoing then was to be their last, so I'm happy that they're lasted even until these days. Forum: Tell Me
Jerry was a great guitarist. It was a sad day when he died. I regret I never saw Grateful Dead performing but I assume they never visited Finland. But it's great there's huge load of bootlegs available. Especially soundboard bootlegs. Forum: Tell Me
Rocker1 mentioned the Hamburg times of The Beatles and I have to say that those Hamburg tapes are a real treasure. It was maybe the most interesting Beatles period and it's cool that even that much was recorded. Great fast rock songs with some nice ballads. Nevertheless they weren't that eager to go back to Germany in the late 1962, I feel that this fifth Hamburg period was the last cha Forum: Tell Me
If you count in EP's as well, then Got LIVE if you want it! It's a kinda record I think is not mentioned many times in here or elsewhere. I love the record. It has a marvelous feeling and great versions of songs. Forum: Tell Me
I think VL Tour was better. Better setlist. Very nice opening to the show and then Not Fade Away. Very odd selection for a show opener but strangely it worked. Forum: Tell Me

I have just re-discovered this Woody-inspired song.
I didn't really care for it that much the first few times I heard it (many years ago).
But now I can't stop listening to it!
(Somebody stop me! Actually, don't... I'm enjoying it too much :-)In case you haven't heard this....Black & Blue outs + live...Rags to Excess... ... Forum: Tell Me
This is fun :-)
In the ancient history it was common to make collections to C-cassettes. It was always fun to do. Somehow in the cd-rom and mp3 time period the feeling is not the same...
Next thing is to argue what you think as a decade: e.g. 1960-1969 or 1961-1970?
:-) I think most people think the first one so I'll go with that. Sorry for the nitpicking...

It's a tough one to find but it's worth it. The sound is absolutely breath-taking.
Once you hit the needle on 999 it will just slap you in the face.
You're right. I have this LP and 999 is a one helluva opener. And the sound is brilliant. Forum: Buy/Sell/Trade
I think the 1981/82 tour had the last echoes of punk/new wave feeling and that was great. Some songs were played in different tempo and in very rough style. Great Stones performance. I was a young lad when Some Girls and Emotional Rescue were released and I think that affected 1981-82 tours. It was a huge disappointment when in 1989/90 they toured and like some here have stated it was like a Las Forum: Tell Me
I remember how I was disappointed to the 1989/1990 tour. Especially to back-up singers. It was great when Keith and Ronnie did that part. And the sound was also too clean. That's why I haven't listened Flashpoint for ages. Too dull for a live album. Forum: Tell Me
My son likes The Stones. He's now 14. We saw them together back in 2003 at Helsinki when he was only six years old. Great gig. ZZ Top as the supporting act were also smashing. Forum: Tell Me
