My fave post-1968 tours are 1) 1969-70 (definitely the best) 2) 1981-82 3) 1972-73 4) 1978 5) 1975-76 6) 1994-95 7) The rest Brian Jones era tours are hard to evaluate because there were lots of smaller tours and there aren't that many bootlegs available. But 1965 British Tour (Got Live) was great. (And I put those American and European legs together)

QuoteROLLINGSTONE If I can quote the great Kenny Dalglish: Mibees Ayes, Mibees Naws. It's a canny Scots thing but covers all eventualities. >< King Kenny was a great fitba' player. Scotland need more his kinda class to enter big events. But that was OT. Now, back in business. Wish Keef and Ronnie put themselves back in condition and start making smaller venue tours without

Thank you very much, Right Shoe Shuffle. Great vocals. It amazes me why Mick overdubbed so many great original vocals. But now I can add this to my own compilation of Get Yer...

Quotestraycat58 Under my thumb from 27 november on Ya-Ya's bonus CD.. this sbd is missing two riffs in the intro. Compared with the audience reconrdings, the intro riff is played 4 times, while it's played only twice in the Ya-Ya's CD. At the end of I'm free, I'm not 100% sure about the spoken words and have impression one line (we've a good time) has been spliced

QuoteFilip020169 "the 40's were their worst decade. pooping their pants and drooling all over the place." ...They'll probably be back at that in another 2 or 3 decades time... And possibly was quite much of that in the seventies when being high on drugs :-)

QuoteFRANCKY Honky Tonk Women (27) -> Original Ya-Ya's, different mix -> Ya-Ya's acetate This is wrong ! This track comes from 28th 1st show... Just listen both guitar solos... It looks like the solos are different after a thorough listening. Well, Ya-Ya's HTW is then from 28th First show (and the solo also doesn't match 2nd show) although so long there's bee

Well, Iron Maiden's got three guitarists so why not? Of course Mick T coming back won't happen, I understand that and that's why I'm not that hopeful. I also don't care if MT's fat or not, it's the guitar playing that counts. I'm not sure what his standard is nowadays but back in 2003 he was still awsome. Three guitars could actually work because Keef and R

Perhaps SW, VL, B2B and ABB are considered mediocre because they are too long? Few songs chopped off and those'd be much tighter albums. That approx. 45 minutes per album is usually enough. You need a bunch of great songs to make a longer album, like Exile. Dirty Work is shorter but very inconsistent and I think it was poorly mixed album. I liked Under Cover very much when it was released. N

Sadly "Back To Basics" is already used by somebody (was it Aguilera?). The Stones performing in smaller indoor venues on a 1969 kinda stage. That would be great. Maybe they've tried to grow too big (the stage and venues I mean)? How about then "Five Decades World Tour" :-)

I've always loved B&B since I first heard it back in the early eighties. Almost all the songs are great. It's a different kind of album and perhaps that's why I like it. It has funky elements (Hot Stuff and Hey Negrita), reggae (Cherry Oh Baby), rock (Hand Of Fate and Crazy Mama), piano blues (Melody) and slow ballads (Memory Motel and Fool To Cry). Well, Fool To Cry has never

Smokey: " I found he consistently added a dimension to the Stones sound and musical soul that I've missed since he left the band." Yeah, I agree about that. He is a great guitarist and made some beautiful solos in that era songs, e.g. Sway. IMO, it was kinda wrong for the Stones to play Sway during the last tour. It should've been played during the seventies with Mick T hav

My opinion about the new version of GYYYO is that it could've been much better (like all the recorded gigs released) BUT there could've also been a lot worse situation, like them deciding not to release this new version at all. Now we have at least some unreleased songs in our hands. I still wish they'd (The Stones or ABKCO or whoever) release all the available soundboards and
