I put these in the same zip file since there aren't too many IORR outtakes. Maybe someone out there can add to this collection? I'm pretty sure with this one I was able to divide between Let it Bleed, Sticky Fingers, and Exile. Since those sessions ran together in some respects, I divided them up to keep a decent chunk on each set. Track Listing Exile on Main St 1 - Boogie With Stu.flac 2 - Exile On Main St Blues.flac 3 - I Don't Care.flac 4 - I Don't Know The Reason Why.mp3 5 - I'm Not Sig

Here is my collection from the 12 X 5 era. It can be tricky to really pic down what album certain sessions are for. Plus there are demos on here for other artists, the Andrew Oldham Orchestra stuff. This is especially true if, like me, you grew up on the American versions of the albums. Again, this is from various sources, sorry, I don't have the info Track Listing 12x5 1 - We

Hey guys, here's my next set of outtakes. I wouldn't be surprised to find out I'm missing some songs from these sessions. Track listing Black and Blue 1 - Come On Sugar.flac 2 - Slave Ii (Instrumental).flac 3 - English Rose.flac 4 - Munich Reggae (Instrumental).flac 5 - Let's Do It Right.mp3 6 - Act Together I (Instrumental).flac 7 - Man Eating Woman.flac 8 - Ce

Sorry for the late update, uploading part 1 now, will put the new link on when it is finished. As for artwork, sorry, i don't make artwork, I just play my songs on my ipod, and i never bother with it. I didn't even come up with a cool name for any of these, just gave it the title of the album. I was kind of burned out on organizing by the time I was done. thanks matt

I'm kind of jumping around here, but I figured I'd get a big one out there next now that most of my stuff is ready to be posted. This is my collection of Emotional Rescue sessions outtakes, from various sources, divided into 5 parts because of the size. Track listing Emotional Rescue 1 - Never Let Her Go.flac 2 - Everything Is Turning To Gold.flac 3 - Back In The Usa (Berry)

This is my second posting of my outtakes collections, compiled from various sources to find the best version of the stones outtakes from each album. Of course, the LIT, SF, and Exile sessions run together, so dividing the tunes is kind of subjective. Let it Bleed 1 - Downtown Suzie.flac 2 - Loving Cup I.flac 3 - Potted Shrimp.flac 4 - And I Was A Country Boy.Flac 5 - High Blues.flac 6

Thanks for the compliments, I hope I can contribute something to you guys. I can't tell you how much I appreciate the work everyone has done posting and how much great stuff I have been blessed to hear because of you all.(esp Urban Wheel) As to sources, I hate having to type this, as my plan was to provide just this information. My file with that info was somehow deleted, so I don'

I posted last week about my attempt to compile the Stones outtakes using the best sources, so that I didn't have to listen to repeats and inferior versions of outtakes from various cds. I am uploading my collection on to megaupload now, so I will be posting them. Here's the first set: Beggar's Banquet 1 - Hamburger To Go.flac 2 - Blood Red Wine

Okay, I like the feedback. I certainly do not have EVERYTHING, and I figured this would be a great way to add, discuss, edit, alter what I have, while sharing with anyone who is interested. I also figured some others were doing the same. I know that my rules that I used when I compiled are VERY subjective. I didn't keep a rough take of a song that was an official release unless I viewe

Sorry, I posted this on the tell me forum, then realised it made more sense to post it here- I don't post often, but I read this forum daily and wanted to see if there was some interest in a stone outtake project I've been working on for a while- I used to buy outtakes cds all the time pre-internet, you know the deal, you get 10-15 songs you already had (maybe in worse or better q

M-audio makes good, not too expensive usb soundcards. Google search will find them. They are for musicians, I'm sure an audiophile would have another suggestion though

I have done this, and I'm so glad I did. You can rip your disc and convert it to flac format, lossless compression at about 40% of the size. I bought 2 1 tb hard drives, 1 for backup. Ditched all my discs, tales up less space. Plus you can listen easier at home, just hook your laptop to your stereo and no more switching discs. Most of my listening is mp3 player these days anyway.

Hey everyone, I rarely post, usually just gathering info on my favorite band from all of the incredible posters on here. I was re-visiting Live Licks, and again found myself unhappy with the mix and the terrible edits. i figured I could make a better live album by ripping the audio from the four flicks dvds I own. i can't seem to find a program that can do this. I downloaded one that cla

I had an opposite experience on getting into the dead than many others have had. The studio classics were what got me appreciating their songs. I didn't "get" the dead for a while. I had a couple hardcore friends listening to shows all the time, and to me all the songs sounded the same and went nowhere. I think I was overwhelmed by their live stuff, and needed to learn the song

Thanks for the great stuff. I'm psyched to see this. I'm having an issue with file 7. It stops at 60.1 mb every time, I've tried probably 5 times, and it never continues. None of the other files had this issue. thanks

Great thread. I like B&B, but I think it's a slight step down from IORR and then they took about 5-10 steps forward on Some Girls. If you added the Tattoo You tracks that came from B&B, it's probably above IORR though. Also- Jethro Tull's Thick as a Brick is one song on 2 sides. One Track on the CD release.

For the person who asked for a good intro to phihs- yes the live stuff is great, but sometimes you need to get to know the songs in simple studio form before really diving into the live stuff. I think the best album is Rift, the other good ones to start with are Billy Breathes and Farmhouse because they are kind of "pop" ish- as much as phish can be. Both have great straight ahead r

I think they did a great job- used a horn section and 2 backup singers to fill out the sound. They are a little rougher and less polished than they were 10 years ago anyway, so exile works for them. trey did a great job, especially imitating the steel guitar in Torn and Frayed and singing Shine a Light. I hope more people check this out as just an interesting take on the album from a very good
