I always look at it like this- Taylor quit, no one wanted him to leave the band. But once he was gone, I'd think Keith started focusing on the negative things about Taylor as a way to accept the loss. Then when he got Ronnie who he gelled with and made some great records with it was even easier to look back on Taylor's style and say it "didn't fit." Even though they conti

Can I ask a couple questions- When you announce you are leaving and will come back if there is another tour (sorry, i can't say when yet) do you stop visiting the site all together, or just stop posting? If the answer is that you just stop posting, I don't get the need for an announcement. If the answer is that you leave the site completely, then I get the idea of sending a message to

I copied my whole collection to a 1 TB hard drive in FLAC (lossless) and then copied all of that to 128 mp3 a few years ago. Then when I upgraded my iPod I converted the FLAC again, this time to AAC at a higher bit rate. As stated earlier, this is the easiest way to do it, get a hard drive, rip it all to flac once, and as the ipod storage goes up, re convert the flac to a higher quality. Your PC

Hey guys. A few months back I posted all my outtakes collections, but never put out a post with all of the links in one place, here it is. I will be updating my demos (early years) collection, as I discovered a song missing from the collection. If anyone sees anything I'm missing in any set, please let me know, I'm always looking for tunes I haven't heard. I am still wa

Looks very good. I did something similar, my inspiration was the Purple Chick versions of Beatles albums. They were put together before the remasters that came out in 09, they were made up of mono and stereo vinyl rips on high end equipment, any alternate US album releases, singles, outtakes, etc. And, of course, they used the British albums as the basis, just like the CD issues of the beatles

I think most of the brussels discs out there are actually a combo of the 10/17 show from Belgium and a London show, maybe 9/9/73? So you may have grabbed one that only had the Brussels show on it. Since most of the Brussels discs combine these shows, and often putting the songs in a random order, I know I always assume Heartbreaker was played (and recorded) on 10/17. see urbansteel's Br

Sounds like a great plan with the whiskey and cigar. You should post here what your reaction is to the first listen. I remember when I first heard that show. I was in high school, all my bootlegs were studio outtakes and a cd store owner told me to come back in a couple weeks when I told him I was way into the stones. He'd ordered brussels and some random live compilation of 70s stuff.

I think a great place to start is with the incredible posts of members UrbanSteel and Keessie. I had bought some bootlegs years ago, but about 2 years ago decided to really build my collection, downloading great shows from every tour pretty much. These two members have so much out there, it's a great place to start. As for how the process works, you click their link to megaupload, enter t

Yeah, it is not a different version or anything like that. I think the quality is better off the bootleg than metamorphosis, that's all. But that's pretty subjective of course, it's not "must have" if you have Metamorphosis. Matt

Okay, this is a collection of stuff the stones recorded before they had a recording contract. Home recordings and IBC Demos. I got the best available quality for all. The name of the collection is "Strong Before Our Birth" which is highly unoriginal. I,um, borrowed, the title from a great Beatles bootleg that was the same idea. That is made by Purple Chick for all those out there w

Here is the Sticky Fingers Outtakes. Of course, these sessions blend with Let it Bleed and Exile, but i did my best here. Decisions I made- I kept alternate Brown Sugar lead vocals and You Gotta move. The Brown Sugar Slide is the common outtake that usually says "w/eric clapton" I've never read that as verified, maybe you guys know? The dead flowers has great additional

I have combined these two albums because there isn't a ton of material out there. I was unable to get the Bigger Bang outtakes in anything but Mp3. Truth be told, since there is only one disc of outtakes, it's not like i did a lot of work here. I just kept the longer mixes of the songs on the album, and then the unreleased tunes. track Listing Steel Wheels 1 - Call Girl Bl

Hey guys, here is my collection from the mid-sixties era. I have them divided up by album, because i like it that way and I do all my listening on ipod. However, it might look crazy to some of you since aftermath, for instance, has only one outtake that I have found. If you guys want it in one cohesive track listing, i can do that also. The file is called satanic majesties, but it has outta

I think the problem was just the file label, those songs were labeled as Flac and not flac. I could be wrong. I re-did them and re-posted, megaupload link has been updated. thanks Matt

Sorry for not explaining. Track 9 is not missing, there is no track nine. Sorry about that. I had a down in the hole in there, and upon re-listening, I couldn't be sure that it was not the official version that somehow was on a bootleg I'd acquired. For obvious reasons, i removed it from my collection. thanks Matt

Here's another huge set, divided into 4 smaller parts. There may be some accidental overlapping or repeating of tracks from the Emotional Rescue Sessions set. Also, sometimes my sources have the same song under a different name and I didn't catch it. Track Listing Some girls 1 - Everlasting Is My Love.flac 2 - A Different Kind.flac 3 - After Hours.flac 4 - Armpit Blues.flac
