At the moment, the database is a maze where only I can find the way-out. It's should be reworked before releasing and I don't think it will happen, soon. If any IORRian needs info, please, ask via Tell Me forum and I'll try to help. Bye, Luca

The site has been closed due to my lack of time. After the book was out, I published a heavily up-dated data-base on CD only, a very long time ago. I have a second digital edition consisting of a never-ending work-in-progress. If my memory serves me well, I have 15.000+ entries listed. The only problem is that I have no time to keep on updating the database the way I used to do. At the momen

I would not rely on Record Collector. They're great, they've been the first, but they also made the worst misleading mistakes in RS record collecting. Does anybody here remeber when they could not tell a record from South Africa from a British one and forced the Got LIVE If You Want It! RSA EP to crazy prices by listing it as a British export? The same was for the RSA DECCA live album..

Thanks for the dating the shooting in Mount Vermount in September... Talking about the meaning of silkscreen, let's not forget that even some CD's from the early 90's were listed as 'silkscreen label' in Record Collector and all what you got were CD's with printed labels instead of the old-styled CBS silver discs... I mean that I'd avoid taking too seriously t

sound very strange for many a reason: 1. the inner bag looks VG, the sheet of paper looks VG-- and the cover is MINT; 2. all my DECCA test pressings come in inner sleeves, like this one does. None of mine has a similar document, but that's not the point; 3. the promo album had to have a different cover as the holograms had not been delivered in time: how can it be this album has a

I hope this helps: almost all the albums issued in South American countries had the title translated in 'Saca tu Burro de Aqui' (Take your Donkey away from Here) and Charlie Watts' riding a donkey on the album cover. As far as I know 'get yer ya-ya's out!' was said by voodoo mamas when curing ill people to force the evil/devil out of the body of their patients. M

Don't forget the red Italian 'Some Girls' and the French one (w/ large sticker on cover). Moreover, a hyper-rare missprint of the Italian SG plays Diana Ross, actually. The colored SG were issued few weeks after the original release to apologize for the re-making of the inner sleeve: this is the reason why you never find colored copies housed in original inner sleeves.

ABKCO owns the rights on every song recorded - or started being recorded - published or not, before 30 August 1970. Some of these songs have been published far after that deadline. One example is 'All Down the Line' the rights of which belonged to ABKCO till the Virgin re-issues, in the 90's. The same goes for 'Shine a Light'. RSR and Promotone have bought these rights

If I can remember well, I read somewhere that the RS were working of the very early takes of FTC when Mick Taylor told MJ he was going to leave. This would date FTC back to December 1974. Can any expert confirm this memories of mine: I can't find the book/mag/interview, after such along time. Nice song, anyway: not my favorite one from 'Black and Blue' (my first RS album), 34 yea

1A 062-63076 LC 2251 is not from 1973: it's a re-issue on EMI, which distributed RSR from the late 70's onward. This brings us back to the core of my question: we're looking for the original/first issues/first print - how you prefer - copies of the missing albums and singles. My researches and discography never claimed to be complete and correct, but facts are that no discography

To tell the truth, I've not that much to add: I'm asking for help, not giving solutions... It all stars thanks to the three 'made in France' albums export-only to Holland I own. They're made in France with Dutch catalogue numbers: rare and unseen. Do more exist? Do collectors own more French-for-Dutch records? In early-70's, France was very big at record pressing

I know the books well. They do not offer first-hand new entries: just good sums of well-known database. In any case, they confirm my statement: a lot of singles missing in the Dutch RSR discography of the early 70's. Moreover, I can confirm that 'It's Only Rock and Roll' album was not originally issud in Holland, nor 'Monkey Grip' and 'Made in the Shade' d

ok, and what about 7"s? Have you got, for instance, a 'made in Holland' copy of 'It's Only Rock and Roll' or 'Ain't Too Proud to Beg'? I've never seen a copy... Cheers, Luca

Ok, I accept I might be wrong: no problem. Could you, please, confirm they're genuine 'made in Holland' copies and let me have the complete cat. numbers? I have the 'Black and Blue' Dutch LP, also issued in color vinyl w/ proper sticker ob cover. I've never seen/heard of 'Goat's' and 'IORR'. Talking about DECCA, the most of the Dutch re-iss

We all know there's a long gap in the Dutch discography. More or less, they did not press own records from late 1972 to 1976. Is there anyone out there who can tell the reason why? At the moment, I'm not very deep into record collecting, but - recently - I've bought three 'made in France' export albums pressed for the Dutch market and these records have brought me straig

Even if nobody can tell for sure, IMO, it's a promotional copy issued in 1917, circa, together with a few other titles such as 'Aftermath'. Not as rare as initially supposed.
