Thanks Ben.
RSR was already distributed by Universal. Should one intend that it's been passed to A&M and that any future issue will be on A&M Records?

In 1996, I published the very first edition of my WorldWide official discography and two more editions were issued in 1998 and 2001 (if I can remember well).
In a very short time, I will issue the 4th and final edition. My short spare time has forced me to abandon the project many years ago, but I want to finish the work I started in the 80s.

Thanks to you, Ricardo.
As you can seen, the record/set is nothing special. It's extremely rare, nothing else, nothing more: 30 or 40 copies, in all.
The inner sleeve is the same of 'Get Stoned' 2LP set, issued in 1977.
In my very personal opinion, it's the rarest British album ever, but still it remains a poor effort,Just a Christmas present to a selected number of employes Forum: Tell Me
There is a good article on Rolled Gold here (and speak of that rare edition, but not pictured for now):
Thanks, I've had a look at it. 1975 is wrong, and that's for sure.
1977 is the year the limited Rolled Gold was presented to employes of DECCA's London facility (near to Mortlake).
If you want to expand the subject, I can underline that one of the rarest Rolled Gold (secon Forum: Tell Me
If my spare time allows me to complete the files, I should be able to release the book, shortly, as a strictly private pressing.
I think I will list circa 15.000 official records from all over World.
It's the 4th edition (2 as a book, one in digital format only).
This time I will issue a book in limited edition of 100 copies.

For those who care and/or are trying to verify to story behind the rarest Rolled Gold ever, DECCA Music Group LTD actually had a facility (near) Mortlake, in the late 70s and still does.
To be precise, the correct address is
347 Chiswick High Road, LONDON W4 4HS (Mortlake is 1.7 mile North).
I would like to count how many copies of this Christmas record exist: could the owners show up, please? Forum: Tell Me
I'm afraid not. I mean that I can obviously confirm that both colours were used, but I can't tell why. Generally speaking, it seems that red was widely used and blue was limited to a far lower number of covers. Your opinion?
No need to say that red or blue have no relevance on value. Forum: Tell Me
Collecting DECCA and LONDON is great, no need to say.
In my personal opinion is that we are very far from completing complex discography like the British and the US ones.
On top of that, I think that the most fascinating LONDON discography is the Canadian. I have no less than five or six major variations in labelling of the Canadian albums and somtimes is very very hard to tell the original, to Forum: Tell Me
Collecting Rolling Stones Records is not a smart a collecting DECCA and/or LONDON,
but still gives many a thrill. You can find tens of DECCA experts, but when you come to RSR nobody comes up. 11 or 21 copies of 'Some Girls' are many, but I'm pretty sure we both miss many more.

As I've written, I supposed that one could argue with my data.
The definitive chronology of 'Some Girls' is far from being set.
I can confirm that rumors wanted there was a geographical distribution of pale and dark covers.
As years went by, this was abandoned in favour of 1st vs early 2nd issue due to the abondance of dark covers and scarcity of pale ones.

I have 21 US Some Girls on RSR/ATLANTIC Records.
20 read STERLING onto deadwax and one has the classic mark of Monarch Records (CA). STERLING is not a guarantee of 1st press, simply means that matrixes used to press that record were prepared by Sterling Sound Studio (NYC).
Even if one could argue with that, original US 1st press of 'Some Girls' should have:
