Even if that's the case, Mick Jagger is first and foremost a businessman and in this for the money---and there is no way in God's green earth Mick would pass up making a killing on something a potentially profitable as a 50th anniversary tour (especially since Mick knows how much most of us would be willing to pay to see the Stones with Wyman and Taylor again).

QuoteDandelionPowderman QuoteSTUFAN I read in a magazine back in the 90's that they lost a law suit by Nile and share royalties on the song... LOL! Why should they lose? There is NO resemblence whatsoever. You can´t sue someone because of the title only. >< Indeed--if that was the case, the Stones, Zeppelin and Mariah Carey would be in a never-ending lawsuit over the title "He

Awesome song with horrible lyrics But not nearly as bad as Where The Boys Go. I want to reach for an axe every time I hear those stupid female backup singers FYI: Did Mick Taylor really do a cover version of this on a solo album?

QuoteEdith Grove Live 8 had 200,000 people in there in 2005, however. I think that had more to do with the Pink Floyd reunion than anything else.

We could say the same thing about the Emotional Rescue & Undercover albums. The main reason all of these haven't been performed live much is simply because there were no tours to coincide with their releases. Mick performed 'Harlem Shuffle' &am

Agreed--always loved this one. But the best album cover is High Tides and Green Grass.

QuoteDandelionPowderman Yep, that´s the one. I better check out the other releases then. Thanks for bringing this up, as I have the same copy/problems you do. I once had the whole show in perfect quality on Napster before my old computer crashed. Last January I bought the same copy of Out on Bail as you have. The mix craps out from one side to the other or just goes dead on one channel during a

QuoteROPENI Nov 27,1969.Made some new friends at the show and the following week,we all got together to see the Doors at the Felt Forum..Also saw the Stones on the 28,but for me the 27,was the best. I have never felt so envious of anyone as I do you! The Doors and the Stones in such short order?!? Talk about seeing my two all time favorite bands!

Well, I've always looked at Keith as a role model for no other reason than the fact that he's the ultimate example that no matter how deep a hole one digs themselves in, one can always manage to get themselves out.

Thanks for the post! I especially like the pic of Keith with this Ted Newman Jones guitar from that year--I thought they first appeared during the '73 European tour.

Took me a while to come around to this one. "Luxury" is completely underrated and "Dance Little Sister" is a great song to rock out in a bar. "Time Waits For No One" is a lost treasure and of course the title track is a Bona-fide Stones classic. Could have done without "Short & Curlies" "Till the Next Goodbye" and "If You Really Want to B

Exactly: I'm saying there was no humor in his post. It's nothing more than the attempt of a troll to stir up trouble. And the fact this guy then says "lighten up" and follows with a half-ass apology only after saying "I don't care if I offended I offended anyone" and crap about "my right to free speech was violated because my post got deleted" shows th

There was nothing racist at all about it. Comedians do it all the time, but if it's in print I guess it sounds different. My apologies. Dude, you just don't get it. And even if you di

QuoteKSIE The Stones have had a long history of leaving excellent songs off of their albums, going back to JJF and HTW. Have to wonder if it's not a business decision to market some single-only tracks (in these instances great singles) to maximize the number of products available for purchase. I think that had less to do with bad choices than it did with standard practice going on in Brit

QuotePaulhanrahan What a great point. I completely agree with your observation re the Voodoo Lounge B sides. I recall Ronnie at the time lamenting there had been some pretty heated debate about what songs should and shouldn't have been included on the LP. I recall he was very upset The Storm wasn't included. Suck on the Jugular and Mean Disposition are 2 tracks I think the album could h

Haven't paid enough attention in this area to give an input and I've always found that the best Stones (or rock t-shirts) are found in specialty rock stores like the one on Hollywood Blvd. That said, on B2B I saw a t-shirt of Keith c.1975 with flowers, skulls and "Happy" printed on it. Still whipping myself for not buying it.

QuoteStoneage HB: In Norway everything costs twice as much as in Sweden. So the Norwegians travel to Sweden for vacation or simply to buy things (even food). Norway must be the most expensive country in the world. In Sweden people laugh when they hear what things cost in Norway. On the other hand their incomes are a bit higher so many Swedes travel there to work, and Norway is one of the riches

QuoteElmo Lewis WTF does the title Aftermath mean anyway? According to the Stones it was a dig at Decca for giving them all the grief over the "Could you walk on water title" and their refusal to release it. Decca felt that the title was blasphemous and would turn off potential buyers (hence not releasing the toilet cover of Beggars Banquet despite having a song entitled "Sympath

QuoteTitle5Take1 I could only stand ten seconds of the DEUCE clip posted above, but I listened to even that much of for "historical interest" because Gene Simmons once said, "DEUCE is a song I wrote by turning around the lick from the Rolling Stones' BROWN SUGAR." Actually, Gene said it was "Bitch"

QuoteBrianJones1969 Did the Stones nearly hire Ronnie Wood (instead of Mick Taylor) the year Brian died? A missed phone call may suggest why. Also ... if Brian were still alive and was still in good spirits with the rest of the group, maybe the Stones could've cut a prog-rock album during the 1970s ... I must think that "Might As Well Get Juiced" was a very old song and not reco
