As nice it it to read this - is it really ok to copy/publish this here? If no one buys the actual magazine, it won´t be no more...

QuoteHis Majesty Thanks. This from Vecko Revyn. Anything in here suggesting it might be from this mag? No, I don't think I ever read Veckorevyn.

QuoteHis Majesty Interesting and thanks! Will try and find that. Any help would be appreciated. Can you recall the name of the magazine or ones from the time? Bild perhaps? No we do not really know. Given this, I'll change the credit on my site etc to reflect this new info. There's nothing specifically Brian Jones about the harmonica part other than that it's played throughout

^ Thanks! Do we really know that it's Brian playing harmonica on Who's Been Sleeping Here? I clearly remember Mick stating the he overdubbed the harmonica. It was in a Swedish pop/teen magazine in 1967. There was a questions column, and to the question about who played the harmonica, Mick answered the he did, and that it was done by overdubbing. Maybe the reason I remember it

He shared his collection with me by researching many "Out of Our Heads" looking for the 1965 mix of the extended "The Under Assistant West Coast Promotion Man." We figured that it wasn't on anything but the USA releases however the USA Satisfaction 45 with the 1965 extended mix of "The Under Assistant West Coast Pr

Ok, on relistening on The Under Ussistant on the various releases: The version on the 1989 Singles Collection box (and the single I linked above) has more prominent sounding harmonica AND vocals compared to on all other releases. Those in doubt, please listen and check it again. Of course, feel free to call it a different master and not an alternate mix - but different it sounds!

QuoteDandelionPowderman Quoterootsman The Under Assistant... : There are two clearly different mixes of the uncensored version: 1. On the original 1965 US single, also on Stray Cats (although running slow...) 2. On the 1989 Singles Collection box - this has more prominent harmonica and less prominent guitar. It also runs longer before fading. This mix is also on this CD single (and, I

Quotepaulspendel Just a message of support for His Majesty. I think the little musical companion book is a truly great initiative. I play in a cover band myself. If you look for instance at the lick Brian played on the Last Time: many guitarists play it in a stripped down blues version, it sounds okay but isn't the real thing. But if you look at the real notes Brian came up with, it's s

On the right side of the stereo mix of JJF it is only electric guitars. A very different sound to the acoustic through philips cassette recorder heard on the left side.
