Thanks for this. But just to clarify: he didn't say they start rehearsals on Saturday. He said he's going away on Saturday to start rehearsals. That means he's flying to the rehearsal destination on Saturday.

Quotestonehearted A lot of what is expressed in this thread comes from interpretive guesses and wishful thinking, and is based on the ever dodgy Google Translate--and what does that last line "Laze about anything ever again." supposed to mean? Besides, if there had been plans for a new album as far back as July, wouldn't it seem logical that English speaking press outlets might

If the interview is from July, then why is he saying: "We toured through the summer, we're touring now"? That would make more sense if it came from September or this month.

Quotebye bye johnny "This being the Stones’ first big tour since 1983 (and their first American shows since ’82), spectacle wasn’t sacrificed." Writer Bryan Wawzenek got his dates wrong. US Tour ended in December 1981, and they toured Europe the following year. There was no "big tour" in 1983. Rock journalists suck. They're so awful.

Didn't they soundcheck Sex Drive in 1990, before recording it? Or the song evolved from a soundcheck jam they did in '90? Can't remember where I read that.

QuotePietro But I don't recall any Beatles hits never appearing on their albums. The US market tended to put singles on the albums, sometimes after the fact. In the UK, these hits weren't included on albums: From Me to You She Loves You I Want to Hold Your Hand I Feel Fine/She's a Woman Eight Days a Week We Can Work It Out/Day Tripper (US also) Paperback Writer (US also)

Quote71Tele Quotematxil Quote71Tele Between the Button is another one that mystifies me as a choice for anyone's "worst" list. Great pop songwriting, adventurous arrangements, lots of Keith singing. There are so many more "worse" albums one can choose. They're so obviously trying to sound like the Beatles, that's just cringeworthy. I have nothing against pop a

Quoteduke richardson apparently theres a consensus that Dirty Work is their 'least great' album.. Nope. To me it's somewhere in the middle and has some great stuff on it. Steel Wheels is the candidate.

1. Metamorphosis. 2. Steel Wheels (in a category by itself in the official Stones albums - really the only under-par one, IMO) 3. 12 X 5 (some really good material, i.e. the Chess stuff, but doesn't work as an album) 4. December's Children (same) 5. Goats Head Soup Some of the ones mentioned here - DW, ER, Bridges, Bang - I all love...

Quoteandrewt Special mention for Ronnie bringing this version back home. Love that TONE! (11:38) onwards. Fantastic. Overall, I tend to prefer the Midnight Ramblers from the Licks and ABB tours because they were rhythmically tighter, especially around the beat changes, but these are great solos. Does anyone remember if Woody played a solo like this at the end of previous tour versions, or is i

Quotestonehearted All Quiet On The Wasted Front.... ....But, seriously, why are there so many here who can't stand enjoying their greatest hits? These songs that people complain about, they were hits for a reason--they are their best work. Why would they play a concert showcasing only their substandard fillers and B-sides? Think of it this way: If you had a friend who was inter
