Unfortunately money rules the world. And it is not only the Stones who would like to earn, but to many people of the entourage hold they hands wide open to see cash. However a Licks Tour would be nice or at least also arena shows in Europe. I assume we have to wait and if they are able to go out again at all.

@stevecardi To me it seems like for some of you times go never by. Although Mick Taylor was in the recording at those times I am happy to seen that they come up with SWAY and specially Can't you hear me knocking which is finally a nice change to Midnight Rambler which I love, but as a change. Mick Taylore would not be able today to play even some of the chords he has done in the early 70i

Not everybody is as healthy or fit as Cliff Richard and mind you the moves he make on stage do not compare to the physical strength Mick puts on a show. We must admit that strongly after 60 your health can change just in a second blow. Ok this can happen while you're young, but risks are much higher when older. Just think of the insurance to be paid in case the tour want happen or even to

Thanks anyway. I am happy that I had the chance to see my favourite band in my favourite town of the Canadian West. Incredible audience and a very good concert. Remember very well how Mick introduced Wild Horses with the typical white cowboyhat complementing the nearby Rockies.

Be modest! Every year even every month or week they will wait to announce a tour will cruel. And our expectations on the Stones performing live is very high, too high. At least they should be so clever to scale down the size of the performances from stadium to arenas and if possible theatre shows. However if money is the only reason to roll and which I believe is it will be very difficult to

I remember very, very well 1982 with 9 shows seeing in Germany, 2 Wembley and 1 n Basel. BV has a couple of the 1000 color slides I made during this tour. Among Wembley the second show in Frankfurt Festhalle (June 30th 1982) was one of the best in my lifetime. On all shows I had first row except for the second London show as I wanted to see the stage in full at least for once. Some of the ph

Such news are spread around here and there. I assume nothing will happen in 09 anyway and if anything in 10 it will be first the Northamerican part as always.

I remember when BV started the fanclub way back and when only postal mail was the possibility to communicate. I was eagerly waiting for the postman to receive those black and white magazine (more a paperthing) where even my photos from the 1982 in Europe have been placed as well as a lot of reports from Germany and England. Then other interests came, but the Stones remained. It is said that t

With all respect to the critics and idolism I would like to drop a few lines. 1) If the Stones would do like proposed 3 indigo shows it would be a money making thing for Ticketmaster and ebayers. How on earth would they be able to distribute it to the "SUperfans"? So rather leave it out. 2) The Stones began to vary the setlists gradually in 1989 and by 2003 we got like 30 differen

Just saw the very interesting stage desing. However in most of he stadium the stage is not in the middle but like all other end of stages at one side of the stadium. So it does not make any sens to have such a stage which even blocks the view for some spectature because of the side columns

Remember that tour announcements are not at this time of the year. The last tours have been announced in May or even June and not before. Though I really like the Bigger Bang album I would love to see a licks tour rather than having new songs. They have to many old ones never played before. I know I am dreaming but arena, club show tour would be my favourite. For this time chances for a new

Don't Forget that tickets for the MSG in NYC have been already 550 USD as well as the tickets for Las Vegas. And what is the difference to the 450 USD asked the last time. I just do not think that a majority of people will pay for it or can afford it. When I did the 3 Shows in London with the Fanclub it was 1960 USD for 3 shows including super seats at the cirkus) plus 6 nights in a 4sta

Isn't it quite interesting that the demand for aging Rockstars or country or whatever "young" music was in the 60,70,80ties is still outstanding? Of course we do have Coldplay or perhaps Oasis. But at the end it's Rock and Roll of touched by "the old" rythm.

Quotebumbum Quotephd I am certain The Stones will make in 2010-2011. This year is too crowdy with U2 and others. The economics are too much depressed, especially in Nothern America. Too risky, not enough cash to embark on a Stones Tour Affair right now. Mick sure must remember his LSE courses. Personnaly, the crucial point is not Ron, but Keith's will and ability to perform tens of concerts

Mick does not only speak a BIT French. He knows the language quite well and even gives interviews in French. He even tried Swiss-German in 1990 in Bale and in Zurich in 2003 which was fun. I mean after all he knows how to entertain. And Hats off. I think he does a lot to attract the whole crowd compare to most of other singers. He also tried Hungarian last year, but that one didn't work

I thought he looked great. Anyway If I turn my head around in the office and look to the people like me 50 (and I am pretty fit and lean and do a lot) or older I would say: Mick is still the one I would be if able to reach 65 or so. Remember the photos How sportive he nearly jumped out of that restaurant where He, Ronnie and Charlie and relatives met. Awesome this man.

Quotechrism13 I think they should get a little creative this time out. Something a litte different. There shoud be a way to make it both fun & profitable for the band while pleaseing their fans at the same time. I would leave it up to them... but would love to see some lower ticket prices. Access to good seats for the real fans..not just those with lots of money & or access to corp. accou

Why not repeating a licks tour, but only with arenas and theatres. Give never or rarely performed songs a last chance. That would be my proposal. No new album which is just a cut of old files anyway

It will spoil my planning for 2009 but what the heck: Let's spend the night together again. They would fit moneywise and schedulewise much better in 2010. At least for me.

Led Zep never had any additional musicians on stage as the Stones did already very early in the 70ies. The philosophy of both bands is totally different. And the approach to perform the songs as well. But we must admit that the ticketsaleskiller for the Stones had been Led Zep in US in 72 and 75. And the Stones started to conquer and lead the US Market since 81. Even if now and then other b
