Jeff Cook, Guitarist and founding member of ALABAMA, one of the greatest southern rock / country bands has died. He was also their fiddle player. Jeff died in Destin, Florida surrounded by family. Jeff suffered from Parkinson’s Disease. Alabama is one of the all-time great bands. Rest In Peace, Jeff and thank you for the wonderful music. I understand Jeff died in late November.

I was there at Ryman. Great show. Was able to get the show’s very cool commemorative poster with the horse and cowboy in the dessert.

This is so tragic. Foos are my wife’s favorite band. Seen them many times. Holding tix for show this summer. I imagine Dave is completely devastated. I could even see him ending the band.

Quotetreaclefingers If the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame was something to be respected I'd say sure, they deserve to be in. But as it's largely irrelevant 'who cares' is really the only appropriate response. I’m guessing Mickey Dolenz and before their passings, the rest of The Monkees cared. I agree Joe Cocker, J. Geils etc. deserve induction as well, but that has nothing

Quoterootsman As nice it it to read this - is it really ok to copy/publish this here? If no one buys the actual magazine, it won´t be no more... It always amazes me how folks on here think they can post copyrighted articles as if they own them. These are the private property of the authors and this magazine. This is how they put food on their table!

Charlie, thank you so much for all the memories, good times and incredible music you’ve provided to all of us on this board. You were an incredible drummer, perfect gentleman and wonderful family man. You will always be in our hearts and you will always be…a Rolling Stone.

My wife and I had drink to Charlie last night, played some video and both ended up shedding a tear. We realized that even though we’re going to see them again, it WILL NOT, be the same. There is still Mick, Keith and Ronnie, but there is no Rolling Stones.

Quotebv My oldest brother was a big fan of The Monkees. He followed them on TV, and he bought all their records. I enjoyed outdoor life then, biking, delivering newspapers, climbing trees, and jumping on ice flakes on the fjord, so without any TV time I did not bother much about The Monkees. However, I do remember they did a song called "Daydream Believer", I liked it, and I was impress
