QuoteGreenblues Many of them old "Krautrock" bands (who'd strongly prefer not to be labelled that way) like Tangerine Dream, Neu!, Faust etc. In exchange (so to speak) for Barclay James Harvest. Not quite sure whether that was a good deal though...

I’d go for these (in chronological order): Undercover of the Night It Must Be Hell Harlem Shuffle Had it with You Sad Sad Sad Fancyman Blues Highwire Love Is Strong I Go Wild Brand New Car Blinded by Rainbows Out of Control (live) Saint of Me Rough Justice Dangerous Beauty As far as I’m concerned, it wouldn’t be too much of a challenge to whittle the list down to album length

QuoteDandelionPowderman The three first notes are spookily alike, but then it turns into something completely else, imo. I don´t see the a UMT and GS-resemblance UMT, though (except for the chords - if that´s what you mean, we may add One Hit, and Dirty Work there as well). If you listen to the guitar riff on the '81/'82 live version of UMT, the connection should become clearer.

QuoteEdith Grove Quotexke38Don't you find it hard to concentrate on your book with all the witness hearings, discussion of points of law etc. etc. going on in the background? No, no, no ! Where I live, you have to spend a lot of time waiting in a "jury pool" before you are called to actually enter a court room. Then you are interviewed by lawyers who decide if you will sit on

QuoteEdith Grove And the winner is: Thanks to those who suggested this book! I've been wanting to read this for a while. Apparently, it's out of print. I had to order it from a used book dealer. I've gotten through the first 76 pages so far, LOL in the jury room while reading. I suppose some people think I'm crazy when they see me busting out laughing. Maybe I'

As already mentioned, if you were impressed by L&G, Get Yer Ya-Yas Out should definitely be one of the three. Also, you can't go wrong (IMO) with Sticky Fingers. Some Girls can also be recommended, to show a different aspect of their music. In the medium term, you won't want to deprive yourself of Beggars' Banquet, Let it Bleed, Exile etc. etc. though!

Quotedcba Quotestones78 Here's the one of Wayne with Keith. Anyone? I guess there isn't any photos from those sessions... Caption : see Wayne this is pure Moroccan product! And I'm gonna smoke all of it this afternoon. There I was thinking it was Keith discussing the size of his lead singer's todger.

Quotegwen QuoteChrisMQuoteWeLoveYouThat's the fist time I've seen MT with a LP+Bigsby recently. Is it a reissue or vintage? I was wondering that myself. close ups from the 100 Club gig show alot of wear around the headstock and the black bakelite that was on the Bigsby is worn off. It's not the the original 'Keith' burst Mick originally purchased in 1967 but it certainly

Quotetheimposter Quote71Tele QuotePhil Good Ronnie sounded best in the Faces. Damn right...I could never understand why he used such a thin, characterless tone since the 90s. Very weak, imo. That's exactly what I was saying. Listen to, for example, the St. Louis 1997 show. On songs like "All About You" and "Gimme Shelter", you've got Keith's thicker, tougher

Definitely the '75 tone. I remember being seriously disappointed by Ronnie's tone when I saw the Stones in '82, especially compared to the sound of Keith's Telecaster during that era.
