Quote24FPS You wonder who writes the stuff. It's like you feel the hand of Mick controlling even the history of the band. Read around all the bio stuff and they leave the impression that it was Mick and Keith who had the idea for a band, and Brian and the others were some talented guys they ran into and took into their group. I haven't found a mention on there of Brian and Stu having th

My first live music experience was pretty memorable, seeing Muddy Waters (with Johnny Winter on guitar) and Chuck Berry at the Capital Jazz Festival at Alexandra Palace (London) in 1979.

Quote2000 LYFH Interesting. Is Ringo's money from the Beatles only (note Phil Collins is Solo & Genesis)? I would not think he would be this rich unless its from other investments (real estate, stocks, etc.). Only a few song writing credits with the Beatles. But what do I know! They obviously forgot Thomas the Tank Engine.

QuoteJustin Pic of Mick in the studio: Via his Facebook: Who does the Sunburst Les Paul in Keith's rack belong to - could that be Mick Taylor's Area 59 Historic (hard to tell, but it looks like it may have a Bigsby, which would rule out Pierre de Beauport's Burst)?

Quoteswiss hi, As you may have noticed, I'm interested in Linda Keith and her relationships with Keith, Hendrix, and to a lesser degree Brian Jones. So I'm sharing the following with you-all, adding to this Linda Keith thread for anyone interested in her -- as well as interest in a slice of Brian's 1968 life, and insight into his fraught relationships. NOTE: the descriptiv

There's no way John Lydon/Johnny Rotten would have admitted (or felt??) that back in 1976 or 1977. Joe Strummer is also on record as being very appreciative of the Stones, again a long time after the end of the '70s...
