Of course they shouldn't apply to Keith...ridiculous nanny state, I'm a non smoker these days thanks to the advances in vaping, so this is not the thoughts of a smoker. I'm tired of these rules and regulations around everything we do, and yes I'm aware of the risks and there lays the answer...it should be on the ticket that certain areas of the venue are smoking and one of the

I think we need another clue...we can keep going on this one until Friday when Olly has said he will provide another one.

Great band...very much underrated...lucky enough to catch one of their shows just before they disbanded.

I'll bump this to save you all scrolling back through to get the original clue and the last one... A Scandinavian god turned them into a ghostly figure. Clue: At the time of the song's release date, the person referred to could've been watching The Waltons or The Streets of San Francisco.

I take my hat off to those who's first language isn't English...cryptic clues are frustratingly difficult without having the difficulty of translation and then the surreal twists on words and meanings. I wouldn;t even be able to try and do one in say french or german. You put us to shame even by trying!

Congratulations to Undertheradar well done my friend. Yes it is Ying Yang, you're my thing and you explain the solution perfectly!

No correct answers yet...in keeping with Olly's approach i will add a further clue a day until Friday. Todays clue is it a lyric from an album released between 1969 and 1973.

Here goes...I think it will be solved quickly! A cryptic clue to a line or phrase from a Stones song: Sounds like two eyes initially together giving us balance - objectifying someone special

Thankyou kindly folks, Green lady should recieve a big thanks for working the guitar bit out as I didn't see that to be fair...a true bit of teamwork from us all. If Olly hasn't got one lined up I made one up at work on friday which I'm happy to post. Otherwise back to you Olly ...oh and thanks for the fun!

Awful song...sounds like what it is, the Stones trying to be punk. No redeeming features for me.

I thought this was excellent...enough in it for us fanatics but also well made and fast moving for those who may not be as obsessed. Proof being Mrs Mouse sat through it and watched most of it with interest. Yes, Keith's corny laughing was probably over done but I enjoyed it and he certainly seems to be in good form and some really nice glimpses of him playing guitar and piano..he'

Well it's better than his previous offerings that's for sure...a much better 'sound' and having only listened to it a couple of times there are some stand out songs. TO say it's a masterpiece is an exaggeration and the second time I played it my friend who is an average Stones/Keith fan said 'not bad'. The one thing I don't like is Keith's singing

I am also waiting to watch this but Celebrity Big Brother is well entrenched with Mrs Mouse engrossed and lining up Goggle Box next so it may be in the wee small hours and alone that I get to see it.

A mess of a recording, awful sound and weak songs, although the title track at the time seemed better and it was a good video. This record always sits in my mind as the start of the decline in song writing.

I don't believe Kieth has ever worked with a TV house band, so it's unlikely he'd start at the point in his career where his singing and playing isn't what it once was. I even doubt he'd play with the Winos on the Tonight SHow! Here's hoping though.

Well done to marcovandereijk, that was an excellent effort. I must admit, Istared long and hard at the lyrics to Connection, but if truth be known I was one step below the level I needed to be. The good thing is we now can see how Olly's thought processess worked. I'm not convinced on the bronze/Iron age/trojan horse connections though! That was tough.

I think once we get the feel for how Olly's mind works, future puzzles will be less stressful. It's always hard to get inside a setters head at first. I'm hoping that it's not a disappointment for us when one of us either gets it correct or Olly reveals all on friday. Schillid might have got through every lyric by then

I've convinced myself through the most extreme and surreal thought processes that it is a line from brown Sugar, and I've worked out what i think maybe one part, but still some pieces which don't seem to work...Br = Bronze, brown without the br leaves own (ours/yours) ...Sugar sounds like Shergar, the famous missing brown horse... I know, desparate stuff going on here!

I vowed I wouldn't come back to this thread...but here I am again, like a moth to a flame! Thanks for clarifying things Olly and despite it driving me bonkers it has become compelling if only just to finally know the answer, although I do hope somebody gets it before Friday. Right, back to the task in hand...

1) Did you spot the tall thin long haired teenager waving from the back at Les Abbatoirs? 2) Did you spot the tall thin long haired teenager waving from the middle at Knebworth when the Barbarians playeed? 3) Did you spot the tall this long haired 20 something waving from front left at ROundhay park 1981? 4) Did you spot the 50+ tall thinnish short haired guy mid section at Glastonbury?
