So what was/is the purpose of the Conan 'press conference'? Where, when & how can you watch it in its entirety? Seems like a strange rollout for the new Album. Cockcoaches -a nod to the Stones club show appearances, but no new club show & back to be called the Stones. A Conan press conference in Williamsburg/Brooklyn with only snippets available online, confusion about who &

In other words, I am still holding out hope for some kind of smaller than a stadium show or shows...related to the Cockroaches.

Call me crazy...for posting this here as it may technically be against the rules & unpopular...but the Cockroaches name with the stones has always been associated with club shows. I know there is no word on live shows yet, but I am the only one wondering if there are to be no smaller shows, why bother with the Cockroaches name? Why not just announce a new Stones record? Before you say public

I don't think Estimated would appeal to the Stones...but maybe something like Brown Eyed Women or Tennessee Jed. Again, both the stones & Dead loved Dylan, George Jones, Reggae...this list goes on. I would think they could settle on a nice blues #. Little Red Roosted with Wood & Wier on slide. Keith in open G or just standard tuning with capo.

I have long wished for a colab with Weir & members of the Stones. Both the Grateful Dead & The Rolling Stones shared a deep love of blues music, not to mention country, Reggae, Jazz, Folk etc. Not to mention the Dead covering Stones songs. I still would like to hear Mick sing Lovelight!

I am still hoping they bring Dwayne Dopsie on the road as an opening act after his outstanding performance on Let it Bleed at Jazz Fest in New Orleans. That guy brought the juice!

I am not a big tribute band fan at all. One of the things I love about the Stones and say Eric Clapton or The Grateful Dead...is that they can choose to play one of their own songs or a country, blues or reggae song for example. Why limit yourself to say I am only going to play certain songs that a certain band has done. It seems very un rock n roll to me. Rock N Roll is the freedom to choose. I

Well i am all for trying new things……but why abandon something that works so well?! This is exactly what i am talki g anout. Listens to the 4:51 mark. I find it hard to believe Ronnie …cant do this. I love his playing here and would just like to hear a little of this style from time to time.

Seriously? You don't think Ron Wood could pLay one of his solos like he did in ‘81/YCAGWYW? You think he is too old for that. Not from what i have seen. I think it has more to do with the Rolling Stones Orchestra that is now on stage. Nobody takes a blistering solo. They still sound territic live …..but guitar solos are short and well not as sweet as they used to be. I even had a separate

I just dont get the sense that he can’t play that way any more, rather it is a choice not to play that way. I always thought the stones style of playing suited them for playing into their old age. Like their blues mentors. As opposed to say Eddie Van Halen. I wondered what his playing would sound like as he aged.

It is me, or has Ronnie and or the band, moved away from those single note solos he used to rip on like he did on You Cant Always Get what you want on the ‘81 tour for example. Seems he used to play more extended solos. Is some cases they reminded me of aJerry Garcia solo. In technical terms …18th notes?

Just curious as to why Keith & Ronnie have shied away from playing two guitars that have been mainstays in the past. Keith and his black '72 telecast & Ronnie with his red zematis made for the '78 tour. The latter I thought sounded great on the '81 tour. Why have these been shelved?

Has anyone watched a soundcheck using early entry? I hear a folks did in Orlando. There are so many packages I can't keep track. I just recently heard of paying more for early entry at a Neil Young show in Bridgeport, CT. I had a pit ticket and got the venue early only to see two lines. One for early entry and one for everyone else. I asked how you get an early entry as I had not heard about
