Pretty good article in Uncut, although nothing new, and they're rubbing in the fact that we're only getting three unreleased songs and only one real new track...Why not "Give Us a Break" and "Four and In" ?!

Had missed that, thanks ! Cool blonde Tele too, I don't remember seeing him with that one before and only rarely with a Tele, like on the pics in McCartney I ?

Not very "clean" but the version I prefer is the one posted by "Hillside Blue" here with a great stereo separation. It's from the Zoe Ball broadcast apparently but sounds like no other version that's been made available !

Thanks for the reconstruction but I'm a bit confused, the "Scarlet (Radio Mix).mp3" posted the other day in the Scarlet thread with voiceovers sounds notably different with much more stereo separation and the guitar in the left channel stands out a lot more. Is that yet another version ?

I was going to give this a miss but this is a crazy good deal, thanks ! Amazon don't normally cancel and they did honor the excellent Sticky Fingers deal in 2015. Not sure what happened to the Amazon NL superlow price for te GHS Deluxe though ?

QuoteHillside Blues QuoteJordyLicks96 Was gonna try to upload this to my YouTube page but it wont allow me so here's the alternate version (alternate mix and different vocals starting at 2:47) that premiered on The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show. ENJOY!! Please don't take this the wrong way but what did you do to the recording? Something must have gone wrong when you made the rip. He

English Rose is quite the mystery...the only solid fact about it is that it was played (back ?) during de De Doelen Rotterdam 1975 sessions. It seems very unlikely that it was taped in Jamaica in 1972 since it's not in the new Box Set...but other songs like Fast Talking are missing, so...

QuoteBjorn A little bit of If you really want to be my friend - and Tops - in the bridge. 3"Tops", good call ! I also hear "Till the Next Time's" "Can ya, Can ya" in there, no ? I was a bit underwhelmed on first listen as the song goes in all kinds of places but the chorus is great, very 1975 with these cool minor chords, and there is a good bridge too. Ah

"For Your Precious Love" from the SW sessions ? Well, why not ? Most people who care about the Stones will be dead if/when an ER deluxe reissue happens ;-) Scarlet is certainly a song to look forward to !

Would be surprised if this doesn't get cancelled/never shipped ;-) Even the Sticky Fingers Deluxe Amazon.de deal was more expensive and not an obvious "pricing error" that they can use as an excuse.

Quoteretired_dog Quotemassmick I guess I'm just trying to make excuses for my ears. It really is just a tiny blurb...but they went right to DITL in a heartbeat. It would be nice to actually see parts of these guys lives that isnt stored as data somewhere... Rock on! Well, actually the similarity between DITL and Scarlet struck me too when I first heard the short clip, but it's the gr

"Undercover (of the Night)" wasn't a bad single and "Too Much Blood" wasn't too shabby either, "She Was Hot", although a "fun" tune, not so much. Why they didn't sell "well" is anyone's guess. Could have been some "karma" from the endless bickering between Mick and Keith during the mixing sessions where they drove Kim

Quotegeorgelicks QuoteStoneage I seem to remember DW was the last album on a record deal. I guess the key thing was to just get it done. In order to move on to another deal. Or go solo, or whatever their plan was at that time... It was the first album of the new CBS deal, or the second one if we count She's The Boss, both were from the same deal of 4 studio albums/Mick's solo albums.

Quotephelge So last year I was lucky enough to hear Sgt Pepper in Dolby ATMOS at Abbey Road. I then got to interview Giles Martin, son of George, who'd mixed it. They then set up a room in Liverpool over Christmas for the public to hear it. Giles said then he was working on a GHS Dolby ATMOS mix with Mick. The Pepper mix was the coolest thing ever. But you need a room with around 50 speake

Quotesnarf2014 I think there are some redone vocals...if so done very well Yes, the lower vocal at 2:18 doesn't sound familiar, or those around 2:40, would have to compare with the booted versions.

These are "unverified" but there had apparently been 6 tracks shortlisted for GHS at one point : All the Rage, Save Me, Scarlet, Fragile, Tropical Disease, Separate Ways and only the first three were used in the end unfortunately.

QuoteOpenG On 15 October 1974, Jimmy Page, Keith Richards, and Ian Stewart recorded an unreleased instrumental at Island Studios and named it "Scarlet', in her honour. Born: Scarlet Lilith Eleida Page. Is this related to the stones release ? YES !

Scarlet is no longer MIA and in fact a 5" snippet can be heard here in the official GHS Deluxe Unboxing video : At 0:31 we have the world premiere of SCARLET !!! Sounds good with some prominent Keith backing vocals "Scarlet, why you wearin' my heart on your sleeve, where it ain't suppose to be" Can't wait to hear the full song !

QuoteBjorn All that noise...I can´t hear the music... Was going to comment on that, appalling to mess up the music like that... Do I hear some new voice overdubs at 2:18 ? Vocals don't sound familiar around 2:40 either... It sounds a lot more boring in that video than what I remembered from the boot, maybe because a boot is more "exciting" than an official release ;-)

QuoteMileHigh QuoteStoneage Personally? I don't care about the tours. I think they have toured enough. I think it would be high time for a last album though. That would be something. And listening to albums is quite safe from a virological standpoint. Unless you do it in groups... Exactly about the touring. I realize this is a fan board but I don't understand the continued zeal for
