RIP Denny Probably one of the musicians I listened to most over the years thanks to his presence in Wings. His solo albums from the early 80s aren't bad and had songs that could have worked well with Wings, certainly as good as his London Town contributions. It's too bad his association with Paul had run its course by 1981, with some sort of "row" after they came back from

Yeah that was a promising track, as well as the one for the Harmonica launch, "I wake up (sick)"... So who was producing ? Would make sense for them to finish the album with Watt especially after all the positive vibe/reception around HD.

Odd, wonder who made that ? The comments imply it's the original remixer ?

QuoteIrix QuoteMabru Great to have that show officially released But it's currently 2CD only. Better would be Combo Editions with complete Video, Documentary, Vinyl and so on (like Totally Stripped). Don't worry, they're saving that for later, gotta keep the cash coming in apparently...

Nice guitar parts but the problem of this song, like Mick's GGAG and EL, is that it's pretty much tuneless. Fortunately they haven't done too many of these over the years ;-) Ah well that thing on VL too, what was it called...had to look it up : "Suck on the Jugular".

QuoteBjorn Too much of everything. And she´s beginning to sound like Sean Connory..."I love you scho much..." You can buy perfect skin, but you cant buy a young mouth when you are 78...I love her, but please...take care... Yes, what's up with the accent ? I listened to "Let It Be" with Macca and Ringo and it was pretty distracting.

Quotewiredallnight Quoteadrianmfa2 Here is the complete show with audience shots and "Sweet sounds of heaven" taken from official live video: Racket show Well, it's not really the complete show, it's put together from YouTube clips and several songs are incomplete. Thanks, was downloading to check it out as I found that claim a bit "ambitious" so I guess I can

Since this topic is called "SJ Talks", I think this recent article from Mojo is of interest, I've included the "surrounding part" of the article for context and I've bolded the specific SJ parts. There are some unusual comments from someone in the Stones camp or even from the Stones themselves, I guess he says it like he sees it ! Not sure what happened to the song h

QuoteThe Joker QuoteTheflyingDutchman While there's nothing new in the subject I found this interview. Sorry if it has been posted before. Thanks! This a straightforward, short interview with a a lot feeling. Smart. Nostalgic. Says Mick Taylor brought the sky to the Stones. Makes me both sad and happy. Interesting that he says at 0:30 that they were at the airport (doesn't say

Sales are so low these days that it hardly means anything though, 1700 copies between 4 and 10th spot ! Glad to see HD is back as a sticky after being demoted twice already in a week or so.

The full audio exists since it's being used on the "Hang Fire" YT channel for the edited videos but the sound is not great, the fuzz in the BOMH bass solo can't be heard for instance.

25% going to charity, should be a nice chunk of money but didn't Gilmour give away 100% to charity when he sold his guitars?

QuoteMadMax QuoteGasLightStreet BV I don't understand how THIS thread isn't a (semi) permanent sticky! It needs to be a sticky through the 2024 tour! How long did we go without a new LP? Please keep HACKNEY DIAMONDS a sticky! I agree Mr Gaslightstreet! Yes, it feels a bit like it was just the "flavor of the month" and that like the drop in sales we're moving

QuoteHardRiffin Quotegotdablouse One track where Charlie would have certainly drummed VERY differently is WWW, the drumming is a complete slugfest, an athletic performance of sorts, tasteless. Besides I'm pretty sure he speeds up towards the end. I couldn't believe my ears when Paul Sexton said that track had "great drumming" during the 1 hour special ! Oddly, the drummi

QuoteGasLightStreet QuoteDan This song got really trite and stale even quicker than Rough Justice did all those years ago. Really. It's miles above Rough Justice, which is a simple snarly little dirty rock'n'roll tune. Angry is the most melodic single in eons. Their first most melodic single since Miss You. Agreed, RJ was instantly forgettable, went absolutely nowhere, a
