QuoteDandelionPowderman For a long time I thought it was. Now, it's BB for me. Bigger Bang?! Seriosly though. Yeap, Some Girls might be the album I also play the most. If I had to vote, I would say the best is LIB, followed by SF and SG, but they come very very close. Plus of course BB, Aftermath... damn, it is so difficult. I can call any of of those The Best, depending on my curren

QuoteDandelionPowderman QuoteTheGreek What a disgrace and sacrilege to destroy a perfectly good vintage Fender Telecaster . I agree with Mathijs that the only real desirable feature of this instrument are the pickups if they are original and ditto for the neck. Some individual after trying to modify/destroy a vintage Fender had the bulb go off in his head and comes up with this plan to salvage a

...+ $1,177.10 for shipping. This is just insane. Okay, it is a 1952 telecaster (if it really is) - how much is it worth? 10-20 times less? And the rather not a very good paint only takes away from its value in my opinion (it is a matter of taste, of course). Plus the tear and wear looks very artificail and it is done to a degree that it migh very well compromize its playability. That is impossi

QuoteGasLightStreet U2 have never claimed to be bigger than the Stones... Yeap. On the last tour, during each show, Bono said "We are the greatest rock'n'roll band on the north side of Dublin!" Also Bono's regular speech ending with: "You are no rock'n'roll star, you are Paul!" "What? Paul is dead, I am @#$%& Bono!" was sweet. I think U2

QuotePalace Revolution 2000 Edit - fat, sick or old..I don't think I once have heard Elvis hit a flat note. His ear was impeccable. The last concerts that were shot for a TV special sortly before he died were painful to watch for me. He really struggles with some songs. He still sings great if you compare him with 99.9% of other singers, but it was waaay bellow his standard. I have only w

Quotebuttons67 ive never got why elvis was so popular. according to most polls. 3 biggest selling acts of all time were the beatles michael jackson and elvis. dont get it, they all overrated. elvis never wrote a song in his life, was an average singer who just happened to wiggle his hips a bit more than most. An average singer? Seriously? As for not writing songs - yes, he never

I saw him twice the lest week in Vienna - both times from the first row. Totally awsome. Those were my Macca concerts n. 7 and 8 since 2004 and eventhough it is true, that his voice is not the same as in 2004, he can work with it very well within its limitations and he puts on an amazing show. I also got another experience, which was not nice - I bought those first row tickets the night befor

Quotedonvis The Start Me Up Package gives access to the so called ULTRA-Exclusive No Filter Pit. When I bought tickets to Denver, that was the only pit ticket you could get and we are in Pit 2. Did anyone else get any kind of pit ticket and if so do you think the pits have separate areas VIP vs regular? As was already said, it is the same pit, there are no separate areas inside for those who bo

Quotelatebloomer Bob Dylan 2018 Is One of the Greatest Shows in History of Rock Master paints new masterpiece every night by revisiting past in new ways. I like Dylan, but statements like that are total bull..t (in my opinion). I have seen him 5 times since 2005 and I haven't realized any ""new ways." Yes, the old songs sound very different, most people in the audience

QuoteRollingFreak Quotekeefriff99 QuoteChris Fountain Great Interview - ESB hasn't toured in awhile - I would speculate late next year or 2020. I hope so. This run on Broadway must have been fairly exhausting for Bruce though. Many people think that but he seems to have said he has no plans of stopping. A good deal of fans are actually like "dude, take a break, relax" and he

... another one - Springsteen's Working On a Dream. I really like the album, it is probably due to the fact that it was his firs album that he realeased after I became a fan, so it was his first new album I was waiting for. I guess this kind of album is always great.

Pit is totally awsome. I did in 3 times, I was in the first row twice and in the second row once. True, the stage is high, so the catwalk prevents you from seeing the other almost half of the stage, but the 4 Stones are mostly in the center area, which you see from the first row just fine (no problem seeing Ronnie from Keith's side and vice versa), so if you can live without seeing Chuck

QuoteLien Ronnie is brilliant to work with. He makes a song sound like a record after just one take. I bumped into Ronnie and his wife Sally who I’ve known for years in Prague recently and we talked about putting together a tribute to Chuck Berry. “Ronnie said he was a lifelong fan and that he knew every single Chuck Berry song so he was keen to get involved and it went from there. I expect he

QuoteChris Fountain It would be great to see them release a smash hit that just blows you away the first time you here it such as "Satisfaction" Start Me Up " or even "Rocks Off". QuoteHairball I read on a Led Zeppelin facebook page of all places, that there's been some debate on whether Bono is lip-synching or not this tour. I remember it was mentioned here last tour that he was doing it minimally on maybe one song, but can anyone shed more light on the current situation? There was a debate that he was lip-synching the opening song on the US part of the current t

Quotegrzegorz67 Quotekeefriff99 Bono never elaborated on that illness he had from 2016 that was potentially life-threatening. I'm sure that took a toll, plus the bike accident from 2014 and the back injury from 2010. All things considered, he's doing pretty well. I think I read he's having daily physiotherapy to get him through the tour. The time must be coming close when he

Oh yeah, Crumbs From Your Table is great. Another one is Yahweh. Even though the Atomic Bom doesn't belong to the best U2 albums, it contains a number of truly great tunes and the album is fun to listen to once in a while.
