Quotechevysales I had been led to believe they leased these and never purchased them. I was say that is patently obvious. There's no way they'd spend millions on an aeroplane for use 9-10 weeks a year and sit idle on runway tarmac for the other 42/43.

England delaying reopening by a minimum of 4 weeks because of a rapid rise of cases of the Delta variant. I say England and not the whole U.K. because the other 3 U.K. nations set their own COVID rules. But they’re likely to follow suit. The problem is concentrated in particular areas - the county of Lancashire in the North West of England is worst hit and to a lesser degree Glasgow and ar

QuoteNikkei Happy Birthday Charlie. I hope he's in good spirit about it. He exactly represents who he actually is and that's a preciously rare trait in a person. edit, the internet seems to be falling apart. I just tried to post what I thought what would be a cool gif to share. Charlie opening with a rimshot in Coventry or Sheffield in 2018 I thought I recognised the sky blue s

Absolute belter of a track imho. I saw 5 BtB shows though they’d dropped it from their setlist by the time they did their final leg in Europe in early Summer 1999.

That’s outstanding, capturing the band at the top of their game. What raw power! I don’t think there’s anyone on stage other than the core 5 plus Bobby. What a find and thanks for sharing !

QuoteSilver Dagger Happy Birthday to the one and only Bard. Here he is with the IORR Band who for me are the greatest Rolling Stones tribute band in the world. And you'd have to go back to 1973 to hear a better version of this classic - Agree with this. Happy big Milestone birthday to the Bard of Oslo I met him at a Stones Tribute Show the day before the 14OF Europe Stones gig there 7 ye

I’m guessing they all got vaccinated. Shots every 2 years? Geez Louise, there’s got to be a better cure than that. No one knows for sure yet, but it’s much more likely to be annual. Covid isn’t

QuoteNate If vaccination isn’t the green light back to normality then what is? Nate It will eventually be the green light to return to normality but it won’t be instant. I said it wasn’t a green light for an INSTANT return to normality. Certainly it will lead to the more draconian rules being lifted then further rules being progressively lifted as we gain confidence that the COVID figures do

No Jones No Stones. Simple as that. He certainly had a flawed character, but he must never be airbrushed from the history of the band because without him, there would have been no history. RIP. He’s now been dead for nearly twice as long as he was alive!

With the terrific progress we’re making here in the U.K., why the hell not? If a vaccine passport scenario is in place, then there’s really no reason this shouldn’t happen. QuoteBig Al Whilst it’s marvellous to read that the government is hoping that here in the U.K., we’ll be back to ‘normal’ by 21 June, I’m afraid to say that I’ll believe it only once it happens. This pandemic has been far too much of an up-and-down rollercoaster of emotion; some very personal to me. I sincerely hope, but I’m sceptical. What I really do want to reopen, no matter what, is my barber

QuoteSilver Dagger Still have my Voodoo Lounge 94/95 official tour film on VHS. I wonder what that is worth now? So have I, or at least a copy of it from the BBC broadcast. Strangely there were 2 official Voodoo Lounge videos - 1 being the one sold in shops (Miami - 17 songs of 27 played) and the other a show at Giants Stadium New Jersey, both 1994. The latter was only available as merch at the

QuoteNate Here in the U.K. the government has just announced a plan culminating in all Covid restrictions being lifted by 21st June subject to certain conditions being met along the way. This could of course be delayed but if everything goes to plan then here in the U.K. we will have events with stadiums full of people with no restrictions this summer. Nate The ideal testing ground for that

My parents are a similar age to the band so remember them bursting onto the scene in the 60s. It was my dad’s purchase of the Rolled Gold compilation that first got me into the band. I even got them along to a gig once - Paris 2007.

The most I can see them doIng is releasing another song or 2 from the album that’s supposedly been in the works for the last few years. 2021 is certainly an off year and with the slow recovery from the Pandemic and the band’s advancing years, insurance becomes a huge issue for future tours.

QuoteHairball Sure georgie - I could see 2022 happening in some way, but it would be much different than what was originally planned with these postponed US shows. Maybe a small number of small shows at small venues with small handful of people in attendance socially distanced and masked to commemorate the 60th - London would be the obvious choice. But there's still plenty of questions,

RIP. An icon and trail blazer. She made a YouTube video just 3 days ago (it’s on her official channel) and seems to be well and in good spirits and excitedly looking forward to future projects then then suddenly gone. So sad. Just shows how fragile life is. Be grateful for every day, even if it’s a rotten day at work like I’ve just had.
