QuoteRockman Charlie's the Buster Keaton of rock ..... so deadpan funny Totally agree... Charlie is the main reason I enjoy the interviews. Even though one can guess that he's not fond of interviews, I can always count on Charlieisms to leave me chuckling for months to come.

QuoteTheGreek I keep seeing the thread title and keep thinking "well when your sitting back in your rose pink Cadillac making bets on Kentucky Derby Day " ( Dead Flowers ) My thoughts exactly! Even though my picks didn't win, it's always fun to make bets related to Da's Stones or anything related to music!

QuoteDougratajczak87 QuoteTumblinDice76 QuoteDouratajczak87 I'd agree with this in terms of Charlie being over playing US stadiums in the Fall(was at the extremely cold 2006 Chicago show). Chicago 2006 was exactly the show I was referring to! Show was outstanding, despite having limited feeling in my feet lol. I really lucked out for that as I had 19th row on the field on Ronnie&

Just want to give a big thanks for this thread... I've been following & loving it. Ol' Delta blues is the best & even though I've been into it for years, I have so much to learn yet. I so appreciate the younger blues musicians doing their best in keeping the blues alive, but I really miss the old Delta blues sound. Was so lucky to see Muddy once & David Hone

Patti always performs straight from her soul and this is no exception. Very moving and heartfelt! I read somewhere that she's also doing a special performance on January 20th. May 2021 spread peace, health & happiness to all!

Was so hoping he'd pull through & be able to continue spreading the reggae soul to us for years to come. We were extremely fortunate to see him open for the Roots, Rock, Reggae Festival at the Chill on Kingsbury (Chicago) in '04. Toots & The Maytals plus the Marleys all on the same stage (if I remember correctly, Rita may have made an appearance that night also) on a beautif

Quotedjgab for those who haven't read the story about the Patti Smith's Keith T-shirt. My daughter and I were at that event and were fortunate to see this moving experience unfold. And yes, we along with most others were in tears. Quite a memorable & beautiful night... Patti is a true gem.

We were trying for some good Stones karma in getting our LD tix and decided to pick them up at "505". Also got Section 440, which wasn't nearly as bad as we thought it would be. We also went through what some others have mentioned... tix not scanning, being sent to another window and then a special door. Still ended up in 440... no complaints though! Was just happy about

I know they're supposed to be the same, but I've always preferred Due's to Uno's. Maybe it's the ambience? Another take is Chicago Pizza & Oven Grinder (http://chicagopizzaandovengrinder.com/)... great for a cool, rainy day like today. It's in Lincoln Park, which is a cool neighborhood to check out. If you're headed there for dinner,(B.L.U.E.S. on Hals

QuoteMisterDDDD Quotewineaux Has anyone noticed that the price range for the Lucky Dip links automatically defaults to $25 - $26? With Lucky Dips being $29.50 plus fees, wouldn't that eliminate Lucky Dips appearing if they were available? I've tried changing the $26 field to $40, still nothing, but I just wanted to throw this out there in case it helps anyone! Depends on the sho
