The pictures of Edward VIII suits do not support the story. The clothes that Charlie is pictured are not the same as those Edward VIII is wearing.
For example, the breast pocket of the pink jackets are different. The bottom of Charlie’s pocket is not level with the top button and the top left of his pocket is under the lapel. On Edwards the button is level with the bottom of the pocket and the Forum: Tell Me
This week should see Charlie’s private funeral, most likely in Devon at Dolton church close to where he lived. With careful organisation and the cooperation of the police, it should be possible for other Stones to attend with the public kept well away, if Shirley wishes this.
I would suggest there will be a London memorial service at a later date. Forum: Tell Me
Within the UK cause of death is made public as it is stated on a death certificate. When someone dies a qualified doctor has to fill in a form confirming cause of death. If it is not known then a post mortum may be carried out. That doctor’s form is used to register the death in the area where it took place. When registered, which must happen by law within a few weeks, then a death certificate is Forum: Tell Me
Many of the preceding comments are very interesting......perhaps now some of you younger fans will understand why when Brian was sacked the Stones were not the same band. They were not the same band when Ronnie Wood joined either.....and they were totally different when Bill left. Now they will be another band with Steve Jordan.

The 1964 album says the source fro "I'm Moving On" is :
Track 9 recorded live at the New Theatre Ballroom, St. Peter Port, Channel Islands on August 18th and broadcast on August 24th by ITV Channel Television.
Whether it was the St Peter Port OR St Helier concert....it would still be a good find. Forum: Tell Me
On 21st August 1964 the Stones played on the island of Jersey in Springfield Hall, St. Helier.
On 24th August 1964 UK TV channel TWW broadcast a recording of "I'm Moving On" from the concert on their programme "Here Today".
On 25th August the same programme broadcast a recording of "Its All Over Now" probably from the same 21st August concert.

Irix ......... my question is whether this REALLY is the 21st August 1964 Jersey performance from the UK-TV footage.........if it really is then I think this track of I'm Moving On is a totally new find.
What it says on the can may not really be what's inside the can !
We'll have to wait until its released to find out because it will be easy to compare with the few existing k Forum: Buy/Sell/Trade
Don’t think it’s the same as Decembers Children which is listed as March 1965 recording made in England and issued on EP Got Live If You Want It.
I think it’s a new find OR more likely an existing known recording being passed off as a Channel Island recording to sell the record.
Anyone in IORR-land know ? Forum: Buy/Sell/Trade
Is track 9 side one from Channel Islands show a new find?
Not aware of this I'm Moving On before.
Can anyone confirm the recording location is correct please.
If new, this would indeed be a find !! Forum: Buy/Sell/Trade
Georgie48.......I think it was Jagger’s comment to journalists either during or at the end of the opening number which was JJF on 14th December 1969. Three songs were filmed and although I haven’t checked I think you can find the film on You Tube. If the film is silent a recording of those 3 songs definitely exists and is probably in The Stones Vault here on iorr.
Hope this helps your search.. Forum: Tell Me
Just thinking of Brian.
Thank you for the music of my youth.

The 1965 Got Live If You Want It EP was recorded by hanging microphones over the edge of the balconies !! That's an example of how crude the techniques were in 1965.....they were making it up as they went along, experimenting.
Also, the title of this Topic is, itself, misleading because up to 1968/69 there were literally no soundboards mixing music from the stage.

Hi.....I am looking for a recording of a Who concert 10th September 1982 at The NEC in Birmingham, England.
If anyone could post it on WeTransfer that would be great and bring back so many memories.
An audience recording definitely exists but I don’t know how to use torrents.
Thank you. Forum: Buy/Sell/Trade
