Funny thing no one has mentioned The Last Waltz. A true masterpiece in my opinion.

Quotedcba You're 100%right but to me the tipping point is Led Zeppelin opened for Spirit and RC probably played "Taurus" with Page in attendance. Call me a melodramatic dude but I can see Page looking intensely at RC's hands nd making mental notes for "the future". Yes, but my point is that Randy California didn´t "own" that chord progression in the fir

Quotedcba QuoteHairball Yet this guy Michael Skidmore, trustee for the Randy Craig Wolfe Trust is going for a Hail Mary as a desperate attempt to have the casjavascript:editor_tools_handle_i()e looked at again. Seems futile to me, and a 99.999999999999999% chance he/they will lose again. Morally he won. Led is more and more seen as a bunch of arrongant bastards who stole stuff leftand r

There has been restrictions also here in Sweden, just ask all the companies, retaurants and other entrepeneurs that have been going bankrupt because of the lack of customers, and all the elder people who has been isolated from their relativs for months now. That said, I think it´s difficult to draw any conclusions about which country that has the best strategy as long as the pandemi is ongoing

QuoteSpud Quotejbwelda .. its not really the medium that matters, its the music. For awhile CDs were being mastered way too hot and way too compressed and that drove me back to vinyl before I realized in most cases today they use the same masters to master vinyl as they do CDs except in audiophile cases. I think that is changing today and many companies do mix and master their vinyl different tha

Quotetreaclefingers QuotePalace Revolution 2000 I can not say enough good things about Plant's post Zep career. He started off a little tentatively. But IMO every RP solo album is better than the one before. And they are all excellent. He has been daring, original, rootsy. And it is fitting that he and Lucinda should team up because I always think of their two bands as two of the very best

QuoteDoxa Haha. Our Finnish team is a disaster, full of nobodies. And they kicked out NHL-heavy Sweden out of tournament. A bit of "winter war" mentality and the Swedes were out of their minds... Never ever has such a weak Finnish team won such a strong (in paper) Team Sweden. Zero NHL playars against a team full of NHL (many star-class) players. There never been such a difference if on

In one of my first posts on this forum I suggested that the Stones should call it a day before they became a parody of themselves. My aim was to provoke some kind of reaction, and I sure got it. People went complete berserk, it was quite entertaining.

I don´t think people are leaving because of some increasing sensitivity among the posters, that´s nothing new. But if you´ve been around for some ten years, almost every thread feels like a repeat.

QuoteStoneage Free from memory: Sound and vision: Good, way better than the Miami ppv. Lisa is still hot... But it's an average gig. Maybe even below average. The video above is an example of that. Svartmer: Which radio channel was the gig on? It was on P3 live, they broadcasted a lot of great concerts back in the day. (see link).

QuoteRik I used to have a crisp recording on VHS of this show, a canal+ feed, much better picture and sound the rather bad dvd's that we all know. The show was broadcasted on Swedish radio and I recorded directly to a CD. Excellent sound.

Quotebabyblue QuoteFrogSugar Tapes were/are crap. I can't count the number of times the tape got eaten up by my various players and I had to rewind the reel back in using a pencil. And then with every subsequent play, the sound would be all @#$%& up in that one spot where the tape had been eaten by my player. I can understand the resurgence of vinyl, but NOT cassettes! CDs is the w

I haven´t yet experienced a Stones show that has been too loud. In fact, when they played in Gothenburg in Sweden 1982 the warmup act J. Geils Band were louder. The worst (loudest) shows: UFO in 1978, Gary Moore in 1984 and Motörhead in 1990. Lemmys excessive bass cacophony convinced me to never forget the earplugs...

I have only heard the pre-released songs on spotify yet, but I can´t hear any significant difference from the 2007 versions. Talk about milking the cow. There's no way it'll sound any different. Quoteexhpart QuoteSvartmer Hot Dog - Led Zeppelin I think the world is divided by this track Probably. It could have been a charming bagatelle if it hadn´t been for the horrendous guitar. I once talked to an engineer who worked on that album (it was recorded in Sweden, at Polar Studios), and he just laughed when I whined about Jimmy Page´s sloppy playing.
