Quotercfoxy QuoteVoodooLounge13 OK well I came up empty handed with Ward, who maintains they’re out of stock of everything despite the website not reflecting that AND the website being updated DAILY with new updates of sizes of shirts for specific releases that are no longer available. I’d be curious to find out if rcfoxy had any luck with his personal shopper in getting stuff from them. It’s nea

I wonder what, if any, effect the economy will have on ticket sales the longer the delay in the tour is. I'm guessing none really, since most other bands seems to be selling incredibly well with insane ticket prices.

Quoteexilestones QuoteGasLightStreet Curious... Rolling Stones tongued socks... who hangs around in those? Who sees them? They're socks! I guess it can be cute but other clothes I get. I wear my Rolling Stones socks and underwear to every Rolling Stones concert. I show them off to a lot of people. They get a smile of a laugh. Really dig the box for these socks! What

Quoterolling1us Don't know where are when i read it but there seem to be rumours Dolly Parton might be a guest on the album. Got nothing against her, love some of her stuff but on a Stones album ? Don't think and hope so. This is probably in reference to Dolly trying to get Mick to record on HER album, a rock album that she's doing with a bunch of rock legends, to justify h

QuoteRollingFreak QuoteVoodooLounge13 I'm still making my way thru their catalog and have not gotten to those mentioned albums yet, RollingFreak. I'm on Neon God 1 right now. I must say that I've been a bit disappointed with the most recent albums I've heard (so far this one, and Dying For The World). QuoteTopi If need be, they can start the tour before the album actually gets out (see: Babylon, Bridges). It's one thing to announce the album and then release it later. Drop a single or two beforehand and get things going in the summer. Babylon, Bang

Looking at the image above, of the back of the Philadelphia 81 show CD, it occurs to me that by the time the 81-82 tour is over, Ronnie was already the longest reigning guitar player in the band at that point. At that point, they're only 20 years into their illustrious career. It's so hard to fathom sometimes.

QuoteIrix QuoteVoodooLounge13 Where did you see the prices? £49.99 - . Thanks Irix. I think my company's firewall is preventing the site from loading. I got it on my phone. $600 and change for the whole set, in individual cases....Free shipping it says too.

QuoteNilsHolgersson I kind of expected it to be way more expensive Where did you see the prices? The link on the website is still not live for me. I checked with a local music store that carries this brand harmonica, and they have a 5-pack with case for $250. They're not Jagger's signature ones, but I'm guessing that something similar for all 10 would be north of $500?? Looks

Thanks Spunky and U2Stonesfan. Not bad harp playing. I must admit I'm not a fan of the echoing effective on that one little snippet of I wake up sick. Reminds me of how B&L sounds. For me, I think it detracts from the listening and enjoying experience. Here's hoping that the album - if one assumes that's a snippet from a track on the upcoming album - has a much 'sof

Quotegotdablouse QuoteMelBelli Steel Wheels is mostly Mick (with Keith driving Mixed Emotions, Can’t Be Seen, AHYS, Slipping Away, and probably Break the Spell). Bigger Bang is 90% Mick! Sounds about right, consistent with Mick's comments at the time and with Jimmy Rip's comments last year, it's easier to understand why, i.e. because Mick had an album (with Charlie on drums) p

QuoteDan To answer the original question, not since I hit puberty. That said I would recommend The Headless Children while The Crimson Idol tends to be a fan favorite but I don't think I ever heard it all the way through. I wasn't a big fan of The Crimson Idol. So far I think Electric Circus is still my favorite, but Headless Children was also very good. I think their first 4 are

Been listening to a lot of different things lately. Most recently finished going thru the entire Judas Priest catalog. I've never been a super huge fan of theirs - I have Metalworks and Painkiller, and I thought that was all I needed. There are a couple of other very good albums in there, but overall, I stand by my original assessment. After that I decided to start listening to some of

Guys I repeat again.........I'm not talking about who brought which songs to the sessions, I'm talking about the SOUND of the finished album. I tend to think they make one album to pacify Mick and one to pacify Keef, to keep the peace between the warring duo. That's just my own personal take on things, right wrong or indifferent, and I was saying that they have seemed to alternat

I'm not talking about the song credits, and perhaps that didn't come across in my post. I mean the overall vibe/feel of the album. They tend to alternate between a more traditional Rock album, vs. more of an experimental album, at least to me they do, and I lump them into the category of Keef (Rock), and Mick (Current). I see it as a kind of give and take of how the two of them still

QuoteSpud I think sometimes they just go with the songs that come together the easiest... and then at some point they say.. ".. right, fed up now, we've got enough." The unused songs then maybe come together better later...with the benefit of time and a different perspective. If that were true, we could have had an album of just B-Side type stuff, which Mick always says h
