This book, essentially, was meant for Stu's family, close friends, work colleagues etc.

You thought wrong re "millions in the bank." I loved Stu and have always wanted to own this book. It's worth every penny, and that's something I feel about very few "rock books." Stu would have been completely amazed that one exists.

I was a friend of Anita's in the "old days." We kept in touch periodically in later years. She loved her children and they loved her. She also became a fine gardener often showing up at her little garden patch in Chelsea. I will always remember her happy smile as she watered her garden. Relaxed and happy.

This is BV's Forum and he has put a tremendous amount of work into it. I've enjoyed many posts from people here who truly love and know music but I was appalled when I saw how Bliss attacked a newcomer, Swayed1967 the other day and surprised that BV allowed it to stay. Bliss's numerous attacks on me through the years surprised me but her recent comments re Jimi Hendrix were

Bliss is treading on very dangerous water. Virtually everything she writes about me is wrong and can be easily disproved. In or out of a court of law.

Lonestar, Well-put! It has become the first song of the day that I play and usually a couple more times later.

The funniest post...I didn't find the latest attack on me from Bliss particularly amusing. Just... pathetic. Many Thanks to the poster in this thread for emailing me that long interview I did several years ago...with a very nice and accurate reporter, Teri Merchant, who at the time worked for the very cool Atlanta paper "Southern Fried." I had forgotten all about it. I con

OK, I've just spent an hour trying to track down onlystones stories which I believe are from May 2015. I saw a whole bunch of stuff that is set in San Diego. Not LA. But I haven't been able to retrieve it now that my guests have left this morning. Does anyone know the precise dates in May that the banquet manager saga began....and hopefully title of the thread. I will re

Does anyone have a date for onlystones party story? Can't come up with it in my search. He should amount to something in this world!. Unless, of course, the Trumpster has rubbed him out as "competition." Re DandelionPowderman, he really does KNOW his stuff when he launches a reprimand!

Really enjoying most of these posts. I have never enjoyed a harmonica more than the way Mick excels on these songs. This record must have been a great pleasure for them to make.

I highly recommend Joel Selvin's ALTAMONT. He has a lot of material that has not been covered before. I was around the boys and their people quite a lot before and after Altamont and Joel does a good job on the cast of characters.

Dragged my self up to Sunset Blvd to Amoeba. Looked tackier than I remembered it. And frankly, I felt like the only hip customer of the 20 or so alleged humans looking at other stuff. And there it was. $16 bucks THE album...I am waiting until Sunday to dedicate my day to listening. I expect to LOVE it. Even without Bill, who I continue to worship.

I'm quite excited at the thought of seeing Eric C at the Forum. Have very fond memories of seeing him at the Santa Monica Civic (2500 people capacity) with Derek and the Dominoes. They were GREAT! But first, I shall rush to Amoeba in Hollywood this Friday to get the Stones blues album. Which reminds me...if any LA people are reading this got any favorite LA record shops here...I&#

In the Sixties and Seventies, music was "our world." Radio was king, our lifeline. Today's kids have such a glut of electronic "stuff" that radio is virtually meaningless to the majority. Seems sad to me. If this is progress, we're in trouble.

In 1970 Buddy Guy and Junior Wells and their hot band opened for the Stones on a number of dates in Europe. I was very impressed. One sunny afternoon the Stones were outside leaving for the next gig. Buddy came over to me and was very friendly. Keith was a few feet away and heard Buddy say to me: "Why don't you come and look over our bus?" Keith was a big fan of theirs

A little story about Bob... I went to an exhibition at the Morgan Library in New York where a copy of an essay Bob wrote when he was 15 years old for an assignment to the class taught by BJ Rolfzen. I thought it was damned good especially considering how lazy I was in high school. BUT Mr. Rolfzen only gave him a "B". A year or so later I decided to call Mr. Rolfzen in Min

New book on Paul McCartney by Philip Norman is taking off. Lot of good and rare stuff re Liverpool, Lennon and McCartney, also Allen Klein relationship during the years. Glad I read it.

LB that sounds quite nice. I have just recently had some good fish and a half glass of a fairly good white wine Ferme Julien from Trader Joe's. Now I have brewed some fresh coffee and served my guests who think that I have never visited my kitchen. I did enough drinking with various "boys" on the road that I seldom go wild with actual liquor any more.
