72 minutes exists as tomcat says above, that would mean it's close to the complete concert ! Now a complete show from the 69-73 period would be superb !! Tomcat - any idea why this person posted a snippet of this gem ? Is he just making us suffer ?

There was post on here a few days back with some information that real Stones fans would I'm sure be far more enthusiastic about, if they could have been bothered to click on it that is. It got one reply. Yet, Folks seem to be far more interested in Rockmans posting of Mojo's Magzines Ron Wood interview. And how cool they think the in reality truly shocking photo of Wood is that ac

the Stones performance was good - not great. They were up for 2 days and looked tired and played tired...check out Salt of The Earth ! The Who were very good.

yes Eric - correct. I have a gut feeling (and it's probably wishfull) that Empire Pool '73 will be RELEASED by the Stones when they finally give up touring and open the vaults !

Wyman was not the most technically gifted bass player, but my point is that he knew exactly when to 'boom' his bass, and his work with keith & Charlie was far superior than the current player....and Ronnie for that matter

Just watching/listening to LA '75...what a great performance Wyman does....basically whenever keith leaves a gap Wyman fills in with his booming bass...brilliant ! ...and like Hampton '81...Wyman rules the roost!

there is a DEFINITE vocal overdub on Happy. Listen to Keith's vocals on the audience rec from Ft Worth, then listen to the L&G version....his original vocals (Ft Worth aud rec) are somewhat ragged (similar to what can be heard on the CB version), however on the L&G movie they are completely polished !

The sound from '69 is unique, this is definately "standard" tuning.. But I reckon '72 is open tuning ?

now I have to try and read these chords/tablature... agree about how a simple guitarist (like myself) reckon it's a susp chord at the start....I knew it was something different...mine never sounded right. thanks to all...

agreed. People might think that ordinary bass and drum players don't make a band...then think again. Horses for courses....as they say. Incidently, even if Bill had anything to do with JJF (and I believe he did to an extent) he was never going to get past the greedy glimmer twins!
