It's not a good movie by most metrics, but it has some interesting stuff in it that's worth seeing from time to time. It can give you a visceral experience of what it's like being on the road. The first time I watched it, which is probably the only time I've seen it all the way through, I remember just being sick and tired of watching them carrying on. That's probabl

When the decision was made to run this, there was probably a lot of coke involved.

His accent on this is not unlike what he did on Where The Boys Go.

If I'm not mistaken, Foghat interchanged "Sleazy" and "Easy" on Slow Ride, during the outro of the song.

I like it. To me, the line: "Tik Tok stupid dance, took a samba class" really captures 2020.

Re: JJF, I think it was Kick-Ass in 72-73. I'm not so into how they did in in 75 with the sped up drumming parts. It was a nice return to form in '78.

I'm not a '75 aficionado, but I've always appreciated this tour and find it fascinating. I like LA Friday and the Boulder Show. It was funky and had a fun, party atmosphere. Billy Preston's spot helped create this. I like Mick's weird singing style on this tour, it was what he was feeling at the time and he just went with it.

Eliza starts out underwhelming, but after 10 seconds or so it's really fun to listen to. It feels like your in the studio while they're jamming. I love the piano playing in it.

QuoteEleanor Rigby Quotedcba Quoteryanpow Another giveaway is this thing he does during the verses of Nobody's Perfect that he did in the mid 80's where he "staggers" the lines, so he's singing in 3/4 time over the 4/4 beat. On One Hit to the Body he does it on the line "did me some permanent harm" and on Ruthless people when he sings "It might take t

QuoteMathijs QuoteDandelionPowderman After numerous spins I must say this is a fascinating leak. And the songs are actually growing on me - even the "three chord wonders". About Nobody's Perfect, after listening closely I have to agree that everything on this track is from 1985. And it's a band effort, with all members on it, including Charlie. However, Mick's MXR

Quoteyearsinthemaking ‘73 Brussels from Nasty Songs/Bedspring Symphony/KBFH hands down. The tempo is perfect. Mick Taylor’s guitar filler is his typical flawless and subtle. Keith’s opening guitar and his solo break (even the little feedback). The horn section never sounded better. Mick’s vocals are energetic and not sloppy life in ‘75. Keith also does the best job he ever did on backing vocals.

I think there were some wasted opportunities in 82 for sure, but not in 82 though.

Re: Nobody's Perfect, the playing on it sounds like something from the Undercover sessions. The singing style and phrasing sounds like the Dirty Work era. All in all, it's not a bad song.

Quotegotdablouse ...I remember a CD that had a much shorter version of "Still in Love", let's see...found it on dbboots, it was called "PROMOTIONAL RESCUE" with a weird "negative" cover of the B&B album. That's the one I was referring to. I heard it on one of the Place Pigalle collections.

Quotepeoplewitheyes Still In Love! What a beautifull tune. Haunting piano/guitar motiff, Jaggs and Keef yelling raw into the mic. Who else loves this one? Anything else we know about it? Still in love has always been a fave outtake of mine. I prefer the earlier version, which is only a snipppit of around 30 seconds or so, and has only guitars and Mick singing in falsetto. This later

I find myself saying "this one took some time to grow on me" about songs a lot, but now that there's a thread about it nothing is coming to mind. WTF.

I think 81 is the peak of crowd energy, while at the same time, people there actually listening to the music. After that it did become more of a Vegas show, for lack of a better term.

QuoteDandelionPowderman An interesting thing with YCAGWYW from the 1982-tour is that Ronnie does a slide solo on it - very different, but I like it. This is a cool version. I prefer it to 81' actually.

Unfortunately, I think it's too hard to convey just how cool they were to people who weren't around at the time, or close enough to it. Hopefully I'm wrong.
