I posted HP1 a couple of weeks ago but for some reason it came out a bit tinny and with an annoying minor echo. This is the same original recording but the sound is fuller and no echo. I could not do anything about the wind though! Quotefalo01 there's a weird echo in there. is this a transfer or technical issue? doesn't sound "natural". Not sure about how the echo came about. It was recorded on a minidisc and I have not listened to it at its original recording level but I have not had this 'problem' before. It is probably a combination of both the original recording and the transfer.

An alternative recording from that posted by rskinno. There is a bit of wind and the recording sounds a bit echoey in places, otherwise a good clear recording. Update - I have sorted the annoying echo and tinny sound on this recording and will re-post in a few days, along with Hyde Park 2.

The Long Beach recording is Closer To Queen Mary from December 1971 and I agree that is a great one too. The 2013 reissue of Tommy is a significant improvement on the original with a sound much closer to Who's Next and Quadrophenia.
