Latest song... Burnt Patch On My Lawn Mix needs some tweaking. It's original. It's a female singer, some Janice vibes. Burnt Patch On My Lawn

solid tune. Simple riff made very sweet by how Rixh plays it. Overall sound is good. Classic Crowes blues rock tune, almost sounds like I heard it before. Its a weak single though. The pre-chorus should have been the chorus with the faster beat and the Chorus line isn't that catchy. I'm kind of over that type back up singing.

They can replace Mick with Axl Rose and Keith with Izzy Stradlin, as long as they have Ronnie it's still the Rolling Stones. Seriously though, this album is fantastic and the best album as a whole since Some Girls to me. Maybe it's a sign that rock n roll isn't dead and gone and there is still life in those rehashed beats, chord progressions and melodies when done really

For Steve lifting on the hi hat for each snare hit is a technique, for Charlie it was how he awalys played. I've tried lifting like that and it never sounds like Charlie, it just sounds like a missing hi hat hit. Steve is the same. When Charlie plays it, it feels (and may actually be) like the no hit space is longer than a 16th note and the 3 hi hat taps are slightly faster than 16th notes

I've drummed for 35 years and Charlie was the reason I started. Steve is a great drummer and a good fit with the Stone's, although there are others that could do as well. There is a thing Charlie and Keith do that locks them together in a subtle give and take. Keith doesn't exclusively follow Charlie or him Keith. Live, sometimes one pushes or pulls the other. It's not

Charlie is already driving the '4 on the floor' down beat which makes the song very easy to dance to. It is a rock disco song for sure. His kick is heavily EQed to help drive the song and the song and mix are perfect. But, sadly, an accoustic kick and dual guitars just isn't pop enough for a modern dance floor. The frequency range of digital drums out pound an accoustic kick com

Ronnie is fantastic. Who would have known he'd be playing some of his best in 2023. He brings joy, fun and unity. And when sober, some kick ass playing.

I realize Andy pushed them to record this one and he considers it one of the better one. It representing the full circle from their original blues formation makes sense too. But, it's just not a good or catchy song at all. I find it boring and now it's the only song I skip.

Quote24FPS QuoteMarkdog I keep finding myself going back to this tune. It's really good, catchy, groovy, nice guitars and feel. Charlie creates a groove that, to me, is just notably better than Steve's. Steve is a great drummer and perfect fit after Charlie, but side by side it's not even close. Throw in bill (who turns 87 next week!)with his classic, just behind the beat style a

Great, new wave style stones track. I think it's great and catchy. Love the singing and guitars. Steve is a great player. The modern production, mixe and drum sound are still timeless IMO. Time will tell lolz

It's a damn good tune. Mick sounds as good as ever at 80. Amazing. Mix and production sound great and timeless. The ending of part 2 sound like I've Got The Blues....

Song is a solid 3 out of 5 after 1/2 dozen listens. Won't be playing it 2 months from now. Very heavy production. I like the mix, loud drums always work in my opinion. Sounds like snare and kick are suplimented with digital sounds, could be wrong. Every snare hit is identical, kick sounds produced or heavily eqed. I thing the bass tone and lines are worst part of song. Bill at 86 wou

I remember Izzy saying nothing really worked song wise with Sorum. Izzy can play straight ahead or with great groove. Sorum just isn't a groove player at all. I could see sorum jumping straight ahead on new groove ideas and it just not working. Yes, he can play the timing, and even fills but the groove is everything in most great songs.

In the 2003 book According to the Rolling Stones, Keith Richards wrote: "We didn't find it difficult to write pop songs, but it was VERY difficult - and I think Mick will agree - to write one for the Stones. It seemed to us it took months and months and in the end we came up with The Last Time, which was basically re-adapting a traditional gospel song that had been sung by the Staple Si

Quotekeefriffhards Quoteyeababyyea Keith totally messed up at 3:18. Hope they will change to a different opening song they can nail every time. Oh dear looks like Keith started early this year. Mistakes in live concerts are relative for me. Mistakes every few songs becomes irritating but a big gaffe or even 2 per show adds to the enjoyment. A reminder that talented but flawed humans are

Seats are not selling well for Crowes in Toronto July 6th. Can still get 2 seats in front row and 8 seats in a row in 2nd row! Overpriced and Wed night don't help. Looks maybe 30% sold.

Just listened to a live version of this with the click track and it was horrible. Not life, a very robotic feel where Charlie is following perfect timing. It's crap and as a drummer is so obvious. Crank an earlier version and it makes later versions comical.
