If they played the listed songs as a setlist, and skipped the other warhorses, I'd be much more tempted to drive a few hundred miles to see the show. As it is, I'm satisfied with Chicago 2 2019 as my last show (for now).

QuoteLady Jayne I am hugely impressed that Charlie has been accorded the dignity of absolute media privacy he would surely have wanted concerning the details of his last illness and death and a private funeral. All the publicity has centred on celebrating his extraordinary life and qualities as a man and a musician. That's what matters.

Keith starting Midnight Rambler instead of Paint it Black at Chicago 2 in 2019 was a complete train wreck. Mick started singing, then the song crashed to a stop. Keith said it was his fault, and they shared a warm hug.

Well, Mick, Keith, and Ronnie can still go out and rock. But Charlie provided the roll.

Though it’s not a traditional uptempo opener, I’ve always thought Tell Me (You’re Coming Back) would make a great opener or second number. The lyrics explain why Mick and Keith are there, it’s on a bunch of compilation albums so many people know it, and performing it would be a tribute to bv.

QuoteWorriedAboutYou Wow, some people are acting like their wives have had a one-night stand or something. Perspective - a drummer in a heritage rock band is having a few nights off for health related issues. Throwing around accusations of "treason" is embarrassing. Since Charlie is our darling, people do seem to get carried away.

QuoteGasLightStreet QuoteMingSubu I'd think Charlie would tell them to keep playing. He did. “After all the fans’ suffering caused by Covid, I really do not want the many RS fans who have been holding tickets for this tour to be disappointed by another postponement or cancellation. I have therefore asked my great friend Steve Jordan to stand in for me.” The odds that Charlie actually

Quotegeorgemcdonnell314 I think ticket prices will drop over time as well. Between the rescheduling and the "The Wattless Stones" I think much of their tour following has been lost. Especially those coming from overseas How many from overseas are in a crowd of 60,000? 100? 1,000? Sorry, but that won’t make a difference.

The terrible news about Charlie is the only important story. We all wish his quick and complete recovery. The Sun’s paragraph about a new album in 2022 is interesting, however, if true: “The Rolling Stones aim to have him back fighting fit for the band’s big 60th anniversary celebrations in 2022, when they will release their first album of original songs in 17 years.”

Quotebv I will delete anything here not related to Eric Clapton. Also, I don't want to see any more comments on his take on the pandemic. There is a separate thread related to covid-19. It took me A LOT OF TIME to clean up the offensive mess here, all sorts of political rubbish, insults, endless discussions and name calling. Respect please. As always, many thanks and much respect, bv.
