First impression after a few listens on YouTube (with VPN set to New Zealand): it's great fun, classic Stones and a fantastic addition to their catalogue. To me, however, it's certainly NOT their best album since Some Girls, as so many professional reviewers suggested. As such, it's a bit of a let-down, but again, this is only my first impression. I expect it to grow on me.

Am I the only one who thinks Little Walter's voice sounds a lot like Keith's? video: I for one would love to hear Just Your Fool with Keith on lead vocals. It would be perfect for him. Might be one of the reasons why Keith like him so much Must be. Too bad that Keith doesn't

Dick Taylor... From a major Dutch news site: Dick Taylor is a founding member of the Rolling Stones. He was the bass player, and was succeeded by Bil Wyman.

On my second listening of the complete album now and it's even better than I hoped or expected. Classic Bowie.

Quoteriverrat Stones and Bowie together? How cool would that be?! (As long as they don't do Dancing In The Street...I almost forgot about that.....) I hope they would do Diamond Dogs. For me it's the most Stonesy Bowie song.

Quotehowled Morbid and depressing song with look back references and nothing to look forward to, sung with very weak vocals that at least do fit in with the morbid and depressing tone. Makes Leonard Cohen seem like Speed Metal. Maybe David has been listening to too much Leonard Cohen. After 10 years if all someone can come out with is that, then that might make someone morbid and depress

Telegraph seems to like it: "Lush, stately, beautifully strange, weaving resonant piano chords, decaying synths and echoing drums around a simple chord progression and a weary, tenderly understated, quietly defiant vocal, David Bowie’s elegiac new single may be the most surprising, perfect and welcome comeback in rock history."

QuoteCafaro Does anyone know where he may have gotten the backing track? Not sure. The guy says he does all the guitars. If that includes the bass guitar, he would just need a drummer and some synthi-horns. ;-)

Here are some others from Arnhem, made by someone who smuggled a camcorder in. That's how tight security is... ;-) I was there, BTW, best concert I've seen in a long time.
