Well I guess that's one way to look at it. Personally I never wanted to see the Stones as corporate unit. And seriously the band have earned enough dollars in the name of The Rolling Stones and now when the backbone of the band is not there anymore they should consider to do this last leg in honour of Charlie and then next year do a gig London in Hyde Park as a farewell.

I'm so saddened by Charlie Watts passing away and feel empty inside. To me Charlie were the glue that made the Stones stick together for all those years. The Wembley whammer had a lot of influence on the bands work, Not only musically but also took great part in designing stages for tours. Now when the backbone of the Stones no longer can take part of the bands future work then it'

Well now there's some explanation done. And it feels good to know a little bit more about what it's all about. It also explains why the postponed tour still might be on later this year. Link: Heartsurgeon explains!

After reading all comments in this thread I must say that some of you guys are utterly disrespectful towards Mick but not only him. Also to me who started this thread and towards all the fans that use this forum as a source of Rolling Stones news and chat. Some of you should really get your act together and clean up your mess here. Mick is 75 and his health is no joke. The band and its meme

Read this just seconds ago in the Mirror. Mick Jagger is reportedly set to undergo heart surgery this week after cancelling the Rolling Stones tour. The 75-year-old will apparently have an operation to replace a heart valve in New York in the coming days, the Drudge Report claims. He is expected to made a full recovery and return to stage by summer. Mirror Online has contacted his pub

Mick's lost his way and needs Keith's direction. And he needs Keith's producer Steve Jordan to get the Stones in the right direction. Thatwon't happen and that mens the Stones will be the wrong direction, Jagger is the wrong the way to direct the Stones in the studio! Mick has lost his way to direct the Stones to their true direction of the Stones! No way that Mick is

Listening ti a whole bunch of "live" recordings. Getting back to a lot of great live recordings. But this is da shit! Stones live at the Fonda thEtre "Dead Flowers" with all their mishaps and everything. But cool as ever. It won't get better than this. ? A true Rolling Stones Performance and a great song don't you think To get back to true Stones that mattered in

I read somewhere that these 2 songs was intended for the next Stones album but was taken off of the list fron songs that wouldn't fit in on a new Stones album and thank God for that. Theese songs are totally rubbish. Okay Mick wants to get political and reflect the anxiety that is growing all over the world. Rather good lyrics but the music is utterly boring, have no energy, just a repeat

With Mick's knowledge of the Stones being a company amd as an instituitionn on its own right I feel they have to deliver songs that sends a message that they love their roots and can write new material of their own that sends us that theu still got the drive to make a statement. Old statesments are old statements and I wish they will embark on a different story to tell us that they just don&

Even if I can see your point I guess that this option is in the works. Still I knowledge your opinion. Lock them in to that kitchen one more time and see what comes out of that one. Thanks for your feedback!

Took time to watch some dvd's the other day and finally I see sparks flying around the Glimmer Twins and I think they will prosper on that fact that they are buddies despite what ever happened. As Charlie Watts said in the Ole, ole, ole dvd: "We all know whats wrong with each other and we keep on going." That's the biggest reason we still can enjoy The Rolling Stones, the grea

I understand MT's rage! It's a shame that the Rolling Stones don't acknowledge him for his tribute to the band more than this. I don't like the egoism that on a exhibitonism. Every member that has participated in the history of the greatest rock and roll band should have been invited to this event. Apart from Brian and Stu (RIP) everyone should have been invited.

Well, then if that's so then I would prefer Keith to work on his own. Don Was hasn't made it for the Stones neither will any other producer Jagger worked with lately do. Steve Jordan has caught Keith in his prime and made him go back to the roots. I certainly don't wanna listen to a Stones record that has any influences of Jagger's solos projects, like the disastraous &qu

I think they should hire Steve Jordan for the job. He has done an amazing job on "Crosseyed HEart"

I've been listening to that record and it grows on me every time. During one of the listenings I suddenly thought: "Why not let Steve Jordan produce the next Stones album?" I think that Steve has put Keith back to his roots still with a very modern sound. Probably Steve would put the Stones back to their roots as well. It would be great to have the Stones make an album simil
