Great song but to me it's always been a variation of the trick that the Stones invented in "Honk Tonk Women", i.e. you start the song very sparse, with only drums, rhythm guitar, and vocals, and wait until the chorus to put the other guitar, the bass and whatever else. Which is also 90% of AC/DC songs, incidentally.

Quotedcba QuoteNastyHabits Good song. Maybe it would be a better closing rocker in GHS than "Star Star", which I've always found a bit plastic and forced. Really I always thought it was an "exercise in open G" that goes nowhere... like "I'm Going Down" but this one's better than CC. It's a bit generic, yes. But it's a better and tighter b

The video is okay I guess. Reminded me of a couple of girls I met when I was young. They're usually in their third abortion by age 20.

Do you know websites of this type (or chart databases, etc.) in German? Another source in English, 45worlds, seems to agree with those Wikipedia dates:

I've recently found in some sources, including the German Wikipedia, that certain Beatles albums (With the Beatles, A Hard Day's Night, Beatles for Sale, and Revolver) were released in West Germany before the UK: (November 12 vs. November 22, 1963) ) (July 9 vs. July 10, 1964) (November 13 vs. December 4, 1964) ) (July 28 vs. August 5, 1966) Is this information true? I admit

- When the band REALLY catches ON in "Around and Around" (1:53) - The bass runs in "19th Nervous Breakdown" (3:29) - Keith's singing line in "Flip the Switch" (1:26) - Keith's background vocals in the chorus of "Ruby Tuesday" (Flashpoint version) - The beginnning of Taylor's solo in "Love in Vain" (GYYYO version) (2:08)

Yes! I particularly love that moment in the "Let It Loose" background vocals.

OK, this is not a topic about entire albums, songs, lyrics, riffs, or solos. It's about those little details in songs that sometimes work as a small musical revelation, or make the difference between a great band and a timeless band, or are just funny, clever, surprising, or unusual. These are just a few that I thought about from the top of my head: - Charlie's drumrolls in "

Quoteslew She did a good job. I liked her spot She did. I thought "Oh no, there goes Jagger trying to keep up with what the REALLY COOL KIDS are listening to these days," but she does know how to sing. Besides, Keith and Ronnie staring at her (fantastic) ass for almost the entire song was priceless.

They're both obviously leftists. Socialism is the religion of the rich. Always has been, always will be.

Another vote for Let's Work here. Worst video, worst song, worst everything. The arrangement sounds like Swing Out Sister or something. Thank God that Mick went solo at the time and never forced this type of crap in a Stones record. There are a few good songs on that album, though. As for the Stones proper, I'd vote for the "thermal" videos, "Emotional Rescue" and

QuoteDoomNGloom Well, aside from lower ticket prices that is. #1. The majority of us wanted them to continue: They shall continue. #2. The majority of us wanted stadium shows dumped: So far no stadium shows in sight. #3. The majority of us wanted less warhorses and more rarities: They are currently rehearsing more rarities. #4. The majority of us wanted less back up musicians: It appe

Which is the best song: "One More Shot" or "One More Try"? See, they both have a title that begins with the words "One More" and ends with a word that means "attempt", and they are both a low point of an album that has "Satisfaction" in it. (I'd vote for "One More Shot".)

QuoteJaIsNotDead Lol. A nice four minute rambling about the band and then about 30 seconds comparing the sound of doom and gloom to exile. Hopefully the stones do actually make another album so we can hear his thoughts on it. As he mentioned, album reviews are his forte, not individual song reviews Well, that's method!

Today is also the 50th anniversary of "Dr. No", the first James Bond movie. A great day for pop culture, especially in Britain.

QuoteMax'sKansasCity Heck, at this point I am surprised he didnt describe it as... hahaha BTW, anybody ever read Pete's liner notes to this album? Penis size is a long-time obsession of his: "It's The Who at their early best. Merely nippers with big noses and small genitals trying to make the front page of The Daily News."

I know why there's a gorilla on the cover. It's because a gorilla has - guess what? - a TINY TODGER: For example, an adult gorilla's erect penis is about 4 cm (1.5 in) in length (Wikipedia) . (Sorry if this has been posted by someone before.)
