Went to IMAX in Richmond, Virginia at 2:30 on Sunday afternoon...show was sold out. My first IMAX movie...hard to judge the filmmaking as it was a bit overwhelming. That said, I thought it was an amazing show at the Beacon. Champagne and Reefer and all the NYC songs from Some Girls were cool. Hated the fakers in the front...lousy decision by Scorcese or someone. Mick came through as the ult

can there be any doubt of Mick's attention to return to the stage? And with the Stones I'm sure...yeah baby!

His work for MDA? His patently stupid remarks? I think the Stones once did his telethon, so this thread is not COMPLETELY UNRELATED....

Wash DC - 7.5 (Back of My Hand was the hihglight) Charlottesville - 9 (Opening was good, Sweet Virginia and ADTL was awesome, bomb scare sucked and then the boys came out and amazed and killed in the driving rain...my favorite show since 81 up to that point) Vegas 05 - 8 (a very strong show but my expectations were very high and the sound/view wasn't great for a smaller arena) Atlan

Visions Of Paradise is a beautiful song. Everybody Getting High is fun. Joy is interesting. That makes four pretty solid tunes IMHO.

While it may not be the Stones, Goddess in the Doorway was a GREAT album as a solo artist. I'd take Mick solo if it was over, but it ain't!!! Thanks bv and Gazza for "the scoop"!

I'm assuming the 1792 tour was strictly acoustic??? Anybody got a boot or would that be at all possible??? This is the thread of the year...and prediction: the "Trojan Warhorse" pic will be the next album cover!!!

JJF- the opening sequence and opening riffs make this THE version. LIV - I'm not even sure why, but I always prefer this song live to the studio version is this is about the best live one. LWM - absolutely kick ass - guitars blaze, perfect fast tempo MR - this recorded version redefined the song forever, practically taking it from a neat concept to a masterpiece All other song

Let's face it...the Who is THE primary offender in rock music history for falsely announcing Farewell tours... There would be NOTHING wrong with the Stones announcing a farewell tour, so long as they stuck to it... In fact, I'd say announcing and doing a final farewell is a gracious gift to deserving fans who'd surely make it an incredible lovefest... C'mon boys...ret

Just finished watching DVD 4 of The Biggest Bang...the documentary. I was taken aback by how cool the tour really was, up to that point at least. Band with lots of energy, still many great crowds...sure, it was from a marketing point of view, but still, ya can't argue with Rio, Buenes Aires...and I still think the Charlottesville, Virginia and especially the Atlantic City shows I saw were ab

I can only tell you that at the Atlantic City concert, Keith was on fire and his set was superb...what happened since then??? Not much I'm sure... One night, one of you will be there to witness a good night for him which will equal sheer brilliance I assure you!

It sucked ONLY if there's a movie...that means it was a cliffhanger disguised as a finale. Otherwise, it was pretty clear...he was watching Meadow come through the door and didn't see it coming when he got popped in the head...LIGHTS OUT!!! No need to see anyone's reaction or even the actual hit...it was Tony's show. We saw it the way he did and then he was gone...the last

Been listening to it a lot lately...quintessential means most typical or purest instance of something...so... Exile is their greatest album for me, and Sticky is pretty damned close to it, but I'd say yes...LIB most closely captures the Stones' essence during the period from Beggars through Exile. To start with Gimme Shelter and end with YCAGWYW...and have Live With Me, Monkey Man

Just finished watching it. One of the best American comedy premieres in recent years. Numerous belly laughs, not just chuckles! Mick appeared to be loving his brief appearances and played them tongue in cheek quite nicely! Great show!!!
