Here's a link to the WheresEric website that has info on the Beck shows. This site is usually up to date, and accurate, therefore a good source for info on these shows: ... lbert-hall I would think that Ronnie, even though not listed yet, for sure would be there barring some unforeseen circumstances. Mick maybe but I'm not sure he fits in with the "guitar" crowd. I kn

Lindley's playing on Jackson Browne's Running on Empty album was always the stand out on all of those tracks for me. Such a lyrical player. Thanks for the music. RIP

IMO Wings made some good music. I always enjoyed Mr. Laine's playing. I am sure that was a fun show in Boston a few nights ago. In regards to Mr. Laine's relationship with Paul McCartney, I see the author Philip Norman referenced earlier in this thread. From having the misfortune of reading previous books authored by Mr. Norman I would seriously question the veracity of anything h

QuoteRisingStone Quote1cdog I've never been to Japan in April. I have seen EC shows in Japan in November and early December. A beautiful time to visit Japan. What years did you see Eric in Japan? He toured Japan 22 times between 1974 and 2019, and I caught every tour, multiple shows on most of the times. Up to 2011 (his 19th tour over there), Eric played Japan routinely within th

Live Aid was great for Clapton's career. His set was stunning and turned a new generation of fans on to him. It was nice to see 3 of the 4 from Zep onstage together again - even if the performance itself was uneven. Page by all accounts was not pleased with the drumming in the set. A little know fact: In the weeks following Live Aid, according to the Billboard magazine, the top sell

RIP Mr. Brooker. I first heard Brooker live when he was a member of Eric Clapton's band back in 1982. I had no idea he was in E.C.'s band and then 2/3 through the show they play "Whiter Shade of Pale."

Thank you for the memories of that show RisingStone! Quite a bit that the above article does not cover well. The article is full of inaccuracies in my opinion. * The source of the opening solo on Layla. * The actual meeting between Clapton and Duane Allman. I will go with Greg Allman's story/version of the meeting. * The Rita Coolidge stuff. This grows exponentially, and in my

Thanks for posting spikenyc! Great music! Waddy on 2nd guitar........a white Les Paul that I believe I have seen him talking about that....if the same one - plays loud. Something about how it was made. Leland Sklar jamming out on Bass. I kept waiting on him to get his hand stuck in that beard Ringo sounding good.......he must be using black boot polish #2 on the hair and beard
