also on fb of course: Mick, Keith, Charlie and Ronnie stand with all who object to racism, violence or bigotry. #theshowmustbepaused #blacklivesmatter honestly I had not any doubt that this was their precise and straight to the point feel and thought about the situation. I am glad that they voiced it.

QuoteHairball Well maumau - I don't think it's quite a mockery of a great Stones chorus ala Miss You live '78 as you seem to think so, however if you hear it that way then I respect your opinion. That said, as I mentioned waaaay back in this thread, I think the Whoa oh whoa oh part was partly inspired by the chanting guards of the witches castle in the Wizard of Oz: Wo-eee-o..

QuoteHairball I've never believed it was a "hit single", and I still haven't heard it on any radio station. I've always just thought of it as a great Stones tune, and much better than the extras on GRRRR and Licks. The GRRR tracks are faux rock and roll caricatures of the Stones, while the Licks tracks whimper along and are nearly completely forgettable...including Ke

LIAGT is not an hit at all though, unfortunately imo, it has been produced and released thinking it might be. Not so bad anyway, exspecially the radio edit, to my ears. like the reggae vibe

QuoteDoxa A quick look to the charts in which popularity is supposedly nowadays counted. "Living In A Ghost Town" has now 5,9m plays in Spotify. That makes it #69 in their all-time list. If compared to their latest efforts, it is lurking behind "Doom & Gloom" (6,3m, #67) and still three single/video-released cuts from BLUE & LONESOME are above it (and clearly):

QuoteCristiano Radtke Quotemaumau as far as I am concerned the real news here is that there's no reliable information about it yet. The info about the release date comes from a very reliable source. I'm yet to read any info that came from them which wasn't proved true in the end. Thanks for clarification Cristiano, I do trust you. Sometimes on Iorr things get confusing for a co

QuoteHairball Their first few albums were good, saw them at US 83 Festival and they were fantastic, their last good song was In Gods Country in '87 (still have 12" single). Not long after that they began to suck, then they eventually turned into complete crap, can't listen to them anymore, end of story. that's it

dont know about insanity, I know about what records I put (from time to time) on my turntable and those that I don't (almost ever). Hairball took the comparison back to Undercover which is far too stretched for me. Love Undercover (with its ups and downs, it is a lively album with no stinkers, some fillers and a bunch of great tunes). For the rest I find CH second only to TIC as a whole cohe

QuoteStoneage I don't get the adulation for this track. To me it's pretty bland. Nothing to write home about. It's like any track they have written since Undercover. I don't see the greatness of it. But it looks like I'm the only one not joining the chorus of praise... you re not the only one... as I am happy to finally hear some new stones sound in the air and can re
