i'm in detroit as well and it appears the best seats will be in the lower portion of the stands, the 100s for the $175. i've got seats in section 141 from the presale. but due to the shape of the stadium it's difficult to get any closer without shelling out the $300+.

MisterDDDD i'm sitting close to you in section 141, i thought it was pretty decent as well and I'm pretty excited to see the stones once again in detroit. my girlfriend has never seen them and i try to tell her how much the band still mean to me since I've grown up with them since I was 9 and now in my late 40's. these guys are like family to me...i'm not sure she under

is there a pre-sale, or seating chart or pricing...or anything for detroit on a legit website like Ticketmaster, or even AXS? I haven't found any info out there at all yet.

does anyone know where or if there is a pre-sale for detroit on a legitimate website? ticketmaster and AXS does not show any sort of info for detroit, prices or seating chart. thanks!

that's just the thing, the guy is an entertainer, showman but definitely not a vocalist at all. he's a mess, his timing is awful and he really can hardly sing these songs. the band is still very tight, i just don't understand why he's so loose trying to sing these songs. although, i saw some classic footage from '81 and '83 and he was just as sloppy, forgetting wo

the grand prize does not state there are any concert tickets involved. i read the rules and only state 2 tickets for transportation, 2 nights at a hotel and a videographer while record the announcement, potentially used for the future. are we guaranteed any concert tickets for this contest because it's definitely not listed. thanks!

i was looking at the contest grand prize and it does not specify any concert tickets. so, they fly you to an undisclosed location, for a 2 night stay to record you in a booth announcing the band for future uses, and that's it? see below: PRIZES: A total of one (1) grand prize will be awarded to one (1) winner ("Grand Prize Winner"). Grand Prize will consist of two round trip

I've seen these guys in pontiac, MI and though I didn't think any of them particularly looked the part, they sounded great. the ron wood guy played a lot of the incidental bits, sax lines etc on guitar. the jagger looked like mid-70s era jagger, and keith looked like voodoo lounge era. it was a lot of fun and the guys played great tracks, even my girlfriend had a good time. now she

Ford Field was hardly filled to capacity. It would be better in Detroit to go to the Palace where they kicked ass on Feb 22 1999. That was a great venue for them to play, sold out and sounding great.

Very fond memories of the Silverdome shows. I actually got a chance to sit row 6 front center on the '94 tour which was a real treat but most of the time sat in the back. '81 show was a mess with the festival seating and fights breaking out all over the place. But still, it was my first Stones show and the only concert I attended with my dad so it's still a very special event to

what a week! i'm so sorry to hear this news, who is going to step in to these giant boots these legends of music have been wearing? it's pretty scary, the stones and their family is like my family and so many others on this site who have followed them through the years.

despite some may say, and rightly so this is a very loose and raw show...(jagger's voice a bit rough, and i'm not sure what the heck ronnie is doing thru much of it, kicking mic stands, climbing, hanging by one arm, on the floor, smoking and fixing drinks...) BUT these guys were hell bent on rocking with a ton of energy. jagger is absolutely fascinating to watch by the last 2 songs, ne

these men are professionals of the highest caliber and honestly believe they will move heaven and earth to rock. i was at the miserable Chicago 2006 fall stop with the wind chill at 22 degrees and flurries. cold ass weather! the band did not falter and call it they played on in the most miserable weather i've ever seen a rock musician attempt. they earned a lot in my book. however, heal

it was a stand out track for me too. i tell you NWSooner why i like it: #1-it has a great funky rhythm track of syncopation that nearly sounds dirty. #2-guitars have a nice grit on them. #3-the lyrics despite being current at that time have a wonderful bite to them with humor. #4-although the guitar solo could be fancier, it's very smooth and bluesy, nearly jazzy which cuts through the

it's still a shame why ronnie couldn't contribute more to a stones cd. if he can do this album basically on his own, and all the others he has done i don't see why (except for egocentrics) his songs couldn't have been used. it's a waste of talent. love this record and slide on this, great feel, raw and beautifully ragged.

I think this album has a nice warm deep sound. drums sound alive in it, you can hear the bass, guitars are clean and separated well in the mix, mick is on the harmonica once again, ronnie adds some really interesting textures. what i don't like about it is it's too long, could knock out about 6 songs and tighten it down to no more than 10-11 tracks tops and you'd have a classic s

Love the Joe Perry Project, especially the first 2 records, the guitar is loud and dangerous on both of those albums. A lot more than the Tyler schmaltz fest the past 15 yrs.

Lyrically it is interesting and I admit I dismissed it for the most part of 30 years too. With some of the facts others have brought it up, it may not be as bad as I thought. But, really, what do we expect out of these guys? People are appalled when they sing about chicks because they are too old for that, or people don't like if the subject is controversial, they don't like if it

Clapton can be a phenomenal guitar player without a doubt. I was just listening to the Cream reunion of 2005 and his playing was excellent. But, he's always been kind of boring, he never had the flash, or the exciting, dangerous element a lot of other guitar players have. To me and my other guitar playing friends, he's always seemed old and boring and his albums over the past how man

EJM--I saw the black jacket too! So much better than the nylon senior citizen windbreaker he's been wearing. for the stage, you've got to step it up a tad, he shouldn't look like he just got done mowing the lawn. jagger looks fantastic and so does the rest of the band. i'm very proud to be a rolling stones fan and to have these men still playing music and in my life.

That is a great idea I've thought of on many occasions. They should get someone to do a remix on many of these albums, GHS and DW would be much improved since there is little bottom end on these albums.

I got 'Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out' at an indie record store. I never even heard the Stones, only about them from books I had on the Beatles. I put the record on and it was very exciting! The band had a loose raw energy, and it was kind of dark and mysterious at the same time even down to the purple label. The vocals were low in the mix but the guitars were driving. It was enough to m
