I've sung The Last Time at each and every one of my weddings. Hasn't come true yet.... Marriage is a great thing - everyone should try it 2 or 3 times.

BTB has always been one of my fav Stones' albums. Love the mixture of the RnB and light psychedelia. Great songwriting. The UK/Decca version is superior because of the Flowers songs.

Tastes differ, but personally I'll take Ronnie's "I Feel Like Playing" over any M&K albums-by-numbers. YMMV

QuoteKoen Who TF is Alexandra F. Chase? If I google her name, I only see the Town&Country cover pictures. New York debutante (maybe related to the banking Chases?) Pic is by Linda Eastman (McCartney). If I'm not mistaken, there's a thread on this somewhere in this board...

he played with a lot of people (Little Feat, Joni Mitchell, Steve Wonder! et. al.), but don't think he ever sat-in on any Stones material.

QuoteStoneage Where did that guy who just loved Dirty Work go? Actually, I miss him. I liked his trolling... Me maybe? Love DW, and many times stated so. Haven't posted for a long time, but if I'm your guy - I missed you too! ;-)

Great article/interview Kurt. Thanks for sharing. I love III's honky-tonk stuff (amazing similarity to his granddaddy), but the thrash/speedcore part of his show just doesn't ring my bell. YMMV But, have to give him a lot of credit for doing what he does. Not too many people would have the cajones to play thrash in front of a country crowd, nor honky-tonk in front of a bunch of

QuoteGravityBoy QuoteKSIEWhilst cooking I like JJF (album = Through the Past Darkly?). Although, I kinda think of it as more of a "pointy-finger" tune. Ummmm... I think it's more a "Pouty-Pointy-Finger-hand-on-hip" tune. Sorry, I don't think it's jerky leg. Fair enough, I have to agree. Maybe I should start my own Pouty-Pointy thread!

I'll play (and I love the thread BTW). Whilst cooking I like JJF (album = Through the Past Darkly?). Although, I kinda think of it as more of a "pointy-finger" tune. The jerky thing is best whilst cooking chicken.........

Well he does remember (seemingly) all those lyrics. When questioned about that, on the 25 X 5 doc, he says "of course I remember them all, I wrote them". ETA: Of course, I guess, there's the Tele-prompter assistance.

Quoterogue Keith's usual two song mini set was replaced by an extended slow jam of Sleep Tonight in Kansas City where he reportedly left the stage and was seen at a lower level men's room taking a piss break himself. This may be the funniest thing I've ever read on this board! Bravo, rogue!

QuoteMathijs QuoteKSIE Quoteloog droog As far as the Stevie Wonder songbook is concerned, I've always felt that this was a real dud. Lyrics are a bummer, and even musically it just goes nowhere. Taylor's guitar breaks on the Stones cover add a lot of dynamics that improve upon Stevie's original, but in any case the Stones didn't have a lot to work with and even with them

probably way off-base on this, but FWIW: My LA 75 boot (forget which night it is) has some tape-speed problems which causes some nasty start-stops-skips-pops. I doubt that the Google product would have the same problem.

Quotedeadegad At about 1:27 Mick does the impossible by showing up behind Elton: Mick makes Elton look "straight' and macho while Mick with his make up and outfit looks like a gay 'cross-dresser.' Thanks for sharing. Don't forget the parasol...... I had the exact same thought.

Quotekeefriffhard4life QuoteKSIE I've really enjoyed the Sony/Columbia-Legacy Byrds set. Also: mentioned on here recently, the Leonard Cohen set. Of course this was just a packaging of his first ten, or so, studio releases. I'm a big honky-tonk fan, so I also love the Patsy Cline box set, which IIRC was done by the Country Music Hall of Fame, and overseen by Emmylou Harris. whi
